Constructive feedback about Lissandra passive change PS @supercakes
Hello summoners I and most of you probably read Meddlers gameplay thoughts. He was talking about possible changes to Lissandra and from what I read it doesnt sound to good, ill explain why.
tldr: This new passive doesnt fufill the missing fantasy of an ice witch theme it also isnt a healthy way to approach the problems lissandra has atm.
1st The first and most important of them all. The new passive still doesnt fufill the ice witch theme that lissandra has. Lissandra is a corrupted lady that will do anything and everything to get what she wants. She seeks a way to bring back the watchers and take over the world and how would she do that? By manipulating stronger foes. She has a connection with the watches, tries to take over the worlds, likes ice, has control over true ice. Now theory crafting what you could do with that.
A. Wrath of the watchers = Lissandra draws upon the mystical powers of ice slowing her oppenents for 0 - 30% based on missing hp. Right clicking a target you have vision of slows them. ( Lissandra has no pity for those who serve no purpose)
B. Let it go = Lissandra sense's the presence of a strong entity causing her to mark the strongest enemy champion on the field. If Lissandra helped taking down that champion she gaines bonus stats based on the class the champion is. When lissandra drains enough power from one class ( cap ) she moves on to second strongest class etc. Tanks = Hp Mages = Ap Adc = range Supports = Item active cooldown reduction Assassins = movementspeed Duelists = Armor/MR
C. Sigil of the the watchers = When lissandra CC's an enemy champion they gain sigil of the watchers when Lissandra hits them with 4 movement imparing abilities she causes the ground beneath them to turn into true ice grounding all enemy champions standing in a zone.
The problem with Lissandra right now is that they took something in her kit and used it as a passive but thats not what a passive is. A passive should feel unique something only that champion has instead they turned it into something weird that doesnt have anything to do with her at all only her in game playstyle. Leona has 3 cc's and yet they made a passive that has something to do with her sun theme, instead of slapping "do more dmg when cc'd" or "cc gets increased by 1 sec" those changes just arent fun. Lissandra hasnt had a passive in 5 years so please put a little thought in it.
Moving on to problem number 2
2nd This is what meddler said. I quote > Passive - Old passive removed. New passive grants Lissandra bonus damage against targets she has previously impaired the movement of (slow, root, stun etc). Bonus damage scales with AP (0.2 at present), basic attacks get half the bonus damage spells do. W - If it hits 3 or more targets its CD is significantly reduced and Lissandra's next spell cast costs no mana. Base CD increased somewhat, mana cost reduced.
I marked all the key words. Now what the problem with this is that she's getting free dmg and alot more opportunities to root people. Now that in itself isnt bad but.... her W coolown at rank 5 is 10 sec without cdr, 6 seconds with 40% and using meddlers words if it gets reduced to what 3/4 seconds means she can use this ALOT in teamfight. Well you see in pro play they like sticky champions that can tank alot of dmg. In this case what happens if you play Lissandra build rod of ages Ice Born Gauntlet into full tank you get 4k hp 40% cdr 3 seconds root shit ton of aoe , point and click stun and when self cast turn into a free zhonya. In pro play they will play Lissandra top this way and use her as a stun bot to stand in the middle of the teamfight stun locking the carries over and over and over again. Lissandras base dmg + roa is enough for her to instantly shove waves since she alot of aoe. This combined with the fact that Lissandra is one of the best TP champions will make her absolutely horrible to play against. Even if she somehow was played as a traditional mage lissandra isnt a champion that e w's everytime she has it up she pokes with q untill she has enough dmg to kill the opponent which means that her w cooldown reduction is pointless. As mage lissandra in a teamfight ur looking to combo a few people and then get out you dont have the luxury to stay and w 1 more time ull be dead by then since youre in the center of their team with no escape thus making it pointless yet again.
3rd and final problem to me is that lissandra right now needs an identity. in term of how her kit is made youd think shes the ultimate teamfighting mage but she isnt. She has the same type of kit that vlad has, scaling, aoe, kiting, but she doesnt have the hp to back it up nor does she have anyway of replenishing her hp. I still feel like she needs more ways to utilize her kit all she does is e w r its the same old story cause her e just goes foward in one line it would be nice if her kit got tweeked so she could have more ways of using her ult and e, q. Like have her q dop shards at the end of its range and then when she picks it up and refunds part of its cooldown would open up some neat outplays with how she has a dash and flash.
Also I always wanted w to be current hp dmg with an ap scaling !
Thats all I have to say. Give lissandra some love but not in this way pls!
