Jinx 8.2 update makes no sense

"That means upping her ability to take towers or win duels when she picks up early kills, and giving her a unique teamfight high when she gets rolling within a teamfight"

Then here passive got the following updates: -Get Excited's attack speed no longer stacks -Jinx's attack speed can exceed the cap while she is Excited

I fail to see how removing the stacking feature from her passive helps her within a team fight? Now she only gets the 15% attack speed buff once? To compensate you allowed her to exceed the attack speed cap but for that to even happen she needs 2.2 attack speed to attain above the 2.5 cap.

2.2 X 1.15 = 2.53

The whole reason she could hyper carry a team fight was because she could snowball off one kill.

Dude, the game is "marksmen before everything". Just stop playing SR until this shit is over and Rito stop sucking this dick's class

They massively increased the attack speed buff on her Q by putting points into it on minigun. Its an overall buff, and she will exceed the attack speed cap pretty easily late game

Why she needs the buff is simple. I wrote an entire post on it.

The main point that correlates to this specific change is that Jinx doesn't have a proper steroid anymore. Other hyper carries just press a button and get to work. Jinx has to wait until level 16.

Now, you can say "But she kills someone and THEN she gets a steroid!", but what type of shit steroid turns on after you start winning a fight or after it's outright won? Like, how dumb would Twitch's ult be if you got the insane range and damage AFTER your double kill? What's the point of Tristana's Q if you already got the kill you were looking for? A steroid on a hyper carry is used to get the upper-hand, but Jinx has been tooled so far into snowballing that she doesn't have tools to get the initial lead, which makes her worse than other comparable marksmen, especially given that her DPS mode uses 525 range autos rather than the comfy 697s and 750s of other hyper carries.

Thus, they're shaving off her passive's ability to stack, because who the fuck needs that, and they're giving her back the mid-game power she lost, because she definitely needs that to be competitive.

Jinx was badly in need of buffs and was pretty much an auto-loss if chosen.

Jinx does need buffs, but they probably are going about it the wrong way. Best to wait and see what it does before you complain.

I think you guys misunderstood. I definitely agree she needs buffs and I'm not saying she is op because of these changes. I'm saying the opposite actually. I think these changes hurt her more than they buff her. Yes they gave more attack speed on her mini gun but generally in a team fight you are using the rocket launcher to stay at a safe distance. So before this change her attack speed would stack and allow her to stay in rocket launcher as the attack speed kept going up. Now you are going to be forced to fight in mini gun to get the full attack speed potential. This puts you in terrible position because of its short range.
