The New Champion Mastery

I love the new Champion Mastery that Riot has implemented! I think it will feel much more rewarding to actually play the champions you love. I also like the idea of how the better you play the more points you earn but, I was wondering if anyone knew if you could lose Champion Mastery points. I don't think you should lose mastery points because the more you play a champion the more you increase your skill with said champion. You can never get worse but you may have bad games. So a solution could be getting 0 points instead of negative points. Riot could also consider making the mastery level like fantasy LCS if they haven't already. 1 kill is 2 points, -0.5 for a death, 0.01 per creep kill, 2 points for triple kill, 5 points for quadra, 10 points for penta kill, and maybe 1 point for each assist. Let me know your thoughts!

I can't be bothered to bring up the reply, but according to them, you can't lose points, but you do get more points if you show proficiency with a champion in that particular game.

Which I'm fine with: I don't think it should be something like ranked where you're trying to fight for the "Bext [X] player ever!" Award, but more of a personal show of your success and experience with a champion.

I mean, even if you just spam 8,000,000 games as a champion to get the 'full mastery' status (Whatever it's called), I should hope that you have gained SOME experience in how that champion is played.

And I have no idea how they're actually scoring 'proficiency', especially when you consider support champions aren't expected to have big, major stats at the end of the game (besides assist and wards), so the system would have to be pretty flexible in what it considers "Proficiency" in a champion.

Maybe it's just something as simple as "You won this match against [X] MMR opponents, didn't die 20 times in 5 minutes, so you've earned [Y] Points." I'm not sure, though I'll try to put in some PBE games when I get the chance.
