"games are short because LC$"
Longest pro league of legends game of all time just concludes in the LCK, with really long average games across all other regions. As of typing this, Optic and 100 Thieves are 50 minutes into their game.

ikr i really dont understand what people are saying...its more like people ff@15 and give up after someone dies
They tried to make games shorter for LCS, which makes sense especially with all of the Bo1s crammed in each day now. If a game goes 30 minutes longer than expected, then it screws up several other games' times depending on when it is during the schedule. It seems it didn't translate to professional play because they are much more careful and coordinated.
There is no doubt that games are shorter in non-professional play though. Whether or not you like that or not is up to you.
Adding: Unicorns of Love vs Splyce to that mix
And yeah. Just today really puts a magnifying glass as to how critical games can be. But that's the difference. They play together for their careers and reputation. We play for like....20 something LP at a time with strangers. And that's just for ranked.
Any sort of tournament isn't even worth my time anymore, tired of watching 10 players afk farming until they are 6 items, it's just a farm simulator. Waiting 40 minutes to see a 20 second fight to end the game isn't funny, just pathetic :/
