I wish there was a way to skip to Gold, Silver matchmaking is awful

And god forbid if it's both.

It's not even a meme to say that I'd be Gold by now if not for my teammates.

It's not the matchmaking, it's you. if you are better at the game, then you wouldn't be complaining about matchmaking in silver.

In terms of extreme feeders in high elos:

Someone should also mention how bad boosting has gotten over the years in this game.

There's a lot of boosted monkeys in gold and plat ruining the matchmaking system, from I heard anyway, especially gold because supposedly a lot of the motivation for boosting is to get the end-of-season awards like Victorious skins.

Your elo increase by consistenly playing better than average people in your elo. Because it's a 5v5 team, beeing slighly better result to a very slow climp. Silver is a elo where most new player start and a lot of people smurf resulting to unbalanced team and thus why there are more feeder. When I smurf in this elo i rarely see people not flaming my opponent for feeding and this make me sad because this could have been anyone.

To win in silver elo you need to play silver meta and bad news for you, mecanic will carry you harder than decision making as nobody will follow you (as long as your decision making is acceptable). Assasin are strong because you only need to get fed from the worse enemy team. High elo player forgetting low elo meta is the main reason why you'll see some good player struggling on their smurf.

The worst thing about silver is probably that every new player's MMR is set at around silver 4. so a player can be a total fking noob, have played beginner AI games till level 30, and have 16 champions bought with RP, he can still end up on your team easily if you're playing ur ganked game in silver 3-4 elo.
this shit system does NOT even take this into consideration with setting up teams, you can be hardstuck but have above average skill, but fk that....with the trash u go

When you will understand that you cant have good teammates everytime? The enemy team is more good than yours, simple. They aren't feeders, it's called "outplayed". Dont tell you never lost a lane and never had a negative score, even you have tried your best.

The thing is, if you play consistantly better than people in your elo you will climb, period. You also don't have more feeders than others. Statisticly you have 4 Randoms in your game that could feed and 5 randoms in the enemie team that could feed. So it's on you to play on your advantage. For me the worst elo to play was D5, but I'm already burning to improve and climb higher than ever this season. Even in this shit meta. Peace and out o/

Didn't even make it to 20 minutes before the game ended. They died 21 times in 19:50. And they afk'd the last minute to let them end or they would have died more. Gold/plat elo.

It doesn't get better. You are going to have people feeding and losing lane no matter what elo you are in.

Eh. Only thing I hated about silver was the area between S4 and S-2 where it felt like at least half of my games were decided by who got the fresh level 30 that fed.

It doesnt get any better. You still have people doing the same things. You just have less ability to overcome them. Thats the main difference here. Someone in plat can smurf in bronze/silver/gold and can overcome the trolls; therefore it never feels as bad as their own elo's trolls. When they reach their own skill level/cap, they no longer have the ability to overcome these trolls consistently. So, they start saying their elo is the worst, mainly because they have less control over it. I've been bronze,silver,gold. Even now in high gold I get matched with low to high plat feeders/afks/ragers/etc. Meaning, even when I get into plat, its not going to change.

There is no elo fairy land where games become LCS quality. No promised land where games are always skilled. The only time I ever notice I've gotten better at the game, is when I play against people in lower elos. The games feel the same. I literally just got out of a game where everyone was high gold/plat. Lemme read off my team's scores.

Me: 5/2/1 Them: 1/3/1, 0/4/2, 1/8/0, 0/6/5

A combined 2/21/8.

How would you feel about a game like that? Feels like Silver huh? You are going to have teammates who feed and lose lane and get stomped no matter what elo you get to. Nothing you can do. Just look at ranked as a personal score, not some magical LCS quality place you are trying to ascend to. I want to get plat/diamond just because I want it; I dont expect me to ever notice a drastic change in my actual games. Once I realized this I was ok with it.

Play a champ with higher impact. Teemo is a decent champion and it isnt too difficult to do well with him or win lane, but when it comes to team fights, he doesnt provide much except for stopping one person's autos or someone hitting his ult. It would be easier if you played someone who can carry harder, like akali, yasuo, or someone with a high skill cap. At the very least, someone with high CC. If you can help it, you should also try to duo with someone around your elo that you can trust. Try befriending a carry on your team or enemy team and to duo with them, in a game that you also did well in. Discord with them and you could climb a few divisions.item 3117

To those arguing that plat-diamond is worse than Silver-Gold, it isn't. In plat-dia atleast you can be certain someone else(atleast one person) knows the difference between their foot and mouth and you can play around them if your entire team is derping. In silver-gold your only chances of carrying successfully are tied to "me, myself, and I" in bot-lane or jungle. It's nearly impossible to carry from support/top/mid(to a lesser extent) in that elo since the gold is all at the bottom of the map damage dealers.

This is why I prefer TT: theres less pressure on YOU to make sure your team doesn't feed themselves to the other team. 1/5 vs 5 is exponentially more frustrating than 1/3 vs 3

I used to feel like this until I got perma banned and roflstomped unranked -> gold 1 with a 75+ winrate on a non meta champ. Yes I lost games bc my team fed but if youre really good enough to be plat you'll get there easily. I mean hell, the only reason I got stuck gold 1 for a bit was bc my mmr was so high I was playing vs plat 3-1 to get into plat 5 (which is pretty annoying tbh give me that plat border and then put me vs players at my mmr pls)

You belong at the elo where you're and average player, and if you play above average every game you'll climb fast.

I remember someone put out a guide on how to get out of each Elo. Bronze was basically everyone sucks so playing better will get you out and when they got to silver they pretty much said you HAVE to carry every game to get out. My guess is you have to pick Hyper Carry Champs and Snowball champs to get out and from my experience that seems to be the case.

As of right now it feels like bot lane is too impactful and they lose/win way too fast and way too hard in Silver so if you are any other lane you kinda feel hopeless. Ive never seen a game over in 10 mins bcz mid top or jg was fed only when it is bot lane.

From my experience when the season starts and you're placed backwards in bronze, boy you got to GTFO fast because I swear that the longer the season goes, the system seems to get more and more generous as to where it starts new accounts in ranked. The problem with silver is you get new players randomly placed into your games who are 10 games in after reaching level 30... Rito put them in bronze for the love of God
