I may have thought of a way to solve Riven's Animation Cancer-*ahem*Cancelling.
So recently I've been seeing a lot of Riven's in my games. Even in my smurf account that i'm trying to level I'm seeing a riven in either my team, or the enemy team. I don't have much of a problem with this, I'm at a low enough elo where very few can actually pull off the animation cancelling technique that apparently makes her god tier (again). The few that can pull it off though... I might as well double jungle, I'd get more gold that way. So with all the Riven's coming up out of the woodwork, its made me think of ways to solve this conundrum. The best idea I've come up with, which keeps Riven playing like Riven without necessarily gutting her damage, is to have her passive stack differently than it does currently. As it stands, it gives her bonus damage per auto attack after using an ability, and you can do that up to three times. Instead of this, you have the bonus damage stack for each ability you use, instead of a set amount you can use up to three times. This way, if
try's to animation cancel in between Broken Wings, her damage is reduced significantly, but if she uses one auto attack after her full cast, it'll hurt almost as much as if she worked three autos into her combo(the damage will be reduced slightly since it'll be quite a lot of damage in one auto, especially late game). It'll keep Riven bursty (possibly burstier) but at least the damage can be avoided, unlike in her current state. If anyone can give different or better ideas, I'd love to see what you come up with :).
