Fiora very hard

How do you play fiora? Because every match up i get out csed, stomped, and end up losing the game. Hitting vitals is extremely frustrating, too hard, and the ult, well, i dont get it, its like a mini game where you have to move around , hit the boxes, i have only managed to get 2, its just too hard and obviously your opponent doesn't just stand in one spot. The champ is too frustrating to play now after thr rework. Can't win my lane at all. Anyone have any tips?

Renekton Kill her early mid game and end the game Else, just... teamfight tbh, if you try to 1 v 1 a Fiora late game and lose and complain about it.................. You shouldn't be playing past co-op vs AI Teamfights are the best vs Fiora, you ahve a chance to exhasut and cc her and kill her :)

Fiora is not really the best early game champion , but she has the tools to survive it. Hitting the vitals is a must to survive the early game , not because of the damage, but the sustain that it provides. That said , do not over extend to hit the vitals , just wait for it to be it the front of the champion , then Q forward , hitting the vital and getting the reduced cooldown. Then , just return to farming and rinse and repeat. Save your W for the hard CC that pretty much every top laner has. This has to do more with prediction and timing then anything else , but it is what allows Fiora to win trades , since the opponent went in counting on you getting stunned or rooted. In most cases , I let my opponent push in , since Fiora can farm under tower with her Q (It looks for low health targets , so keep that in mind) . As far as her ulti goes , no beating around the bush is necessary. Save it for a all in duel , where you know that the opponent will over extend to trade with you , making it easier to proc. To start out , I suggest that you play Fiora as a counter pick into tanks , that are significantly easier to deal with and that Fiora naturally counters. After , when you feel more at home with her , try using her into more complicated match ups

Its really hard to hit the vitals on the ult and when i all in with ult, i just die before i even have a chance to hit all boxes. R then Q , E , auto auto, Q, E right? Its really hard to move around your opponent to hit all boxes on ult.

Then you don't all in. Chances are , you will outscale your opponent anyway, so at some point , they probably will need to all in you. That means that they are going to be the ones to over commit. You just need to hang tight and wait for that moment. Once they all in you , use your W and they probably will have no CC left and chances are , no escape. Here is when you turn on your ulti and start smacking away at them. The key is to have patience as Fiora , poking with her Q when the vitals show up in front (Oh yeah , a neat trick is to E before you Q , procing the slow and then getting the critical strike ) and just waiting for them to all in you. And here is the kicker , if they don't all in you , no problem , just keep on poking the way I said , and you will either always have the pressure , or force them to over commit , enabling your ulti to be used to it's best effect.

One more thing. The whole poking with Q is nice and all , but be fucking careful who you are doing this to. Do that to a Renekton , and he will fuck you up. Champs that are early game bullies , just farm safe and wait for level 11, when you have items , gold and levels to deal with their crap

The problem im having is its too hard to hit all the vital boxes during ulti.

Also when do you use ulti? When opponent is near death?

Angelofchaos16x1 votes

When Maokai uses his W on you, Poppy uses her E , Sion ultis , Gragas uses E or Pantheon his W and so on. You noticed how most champions have a mobility spell and a cc one (Sometimes the spell has both) ? Most cases , when the champion used these spells , the have no more mobility other then Flash (Unless its a Riven , but we don't really talk about her). Stay safe and NEVER let them use their CC with out burning their mobility spell , W their CC and they will have no more escape or CC (Unless you are facing a Riven , again , not the main point) , leaving it easy and safe to all in them. Use your ulti and Q across them (Hitting the back vital first) , getting the lower cooldown on your Q , enabling you to hit the again and again , either procing all vitals , getting a kill or blowing their flash.

Fiora is a champion that is all about patience. You have zero obligation to all in your opponent. For all you care , you could shove the wave with your Hydra , poke them , take their turret , split push and outscale. Fiora preys on none aggressive players , because if you don't over commit and try to kill her , she will out scale you. The good Fiora's will know when the all ins are coming , and will react accordingly

Automated Riven1 votes

Also unless you feel really really good on fiora dont pick her into riven. the riven matchup is all mind games and predicting where either one can outplay and gain the edge from a single mistake. and since the both scale about the same once one gets ahead its gg that you cannot come back from until 6 items. (at least not without massive outplays and or jungle camping or a good tp exc) Riven is a very hard lane for fiora because you have to have a pretty good understanding of the matchup in order to win as fiora.

Max your cooldown as quickly as you can. Rush a item 3077 because she has not wave clear otherwise. item 3071 is almost always a staple on her. Also you have to be very aware of the opponent's kit to use Riposte on time. That's generally her ultimate duel changing ability. Don't try to engage on the enemy when the vitals are facing away from you and don't always engage either unless you are totally sure you won't be punished hard. When you poke for vitals early game just poke, and retrieve in the bush so you mitigate taking agro. Her damage on the vitals early game is not great as she needs AD to scale with it. However, take advantage of procking vitals to sustain yourself in lane. Generally I start with a item 2033 for safe laning, but unless you are confident you will win the lane against a weaker laner then you are more than welcome to start with a item 1055 .

What do you mean max cooldown? Also, the way it is right now , i get camped hard and jungle waits for my all in. Also when i all in, i always lose the fight because its hard to a) hit all the vital boxes around your opponent during ult b) i have no idea of knowing when they will use their cc. Thus using W on right time is hard.

What I mean by maxing your cooldown is to get to 40% cdr as quickly as possible as Fiora is more reliant on casting abilities than auto attacking, as she needs her dash to be available as much as possible to easily proc vitals. You get 20% cdr from item 3071 which has a passive that synergizes well with Fiora's kit since it gives you movement speed boost when you auto an enemy (you get movement speed and healing when you proc vitals too), and you also reduce their armor, which really only helps when you auto an enemy not at a vital point since you won't be dealing true damage. Other ways you can get extra cdr are from these items item 3065 item 3812 item 3142 item 3078 item 3156 item 3158 or rune pages. Fiora is not the easiest champion but she is not a hard champion either. Like I said you need to be familiar with your opponent's kit to effectively win trades, especially with someone like Fiora, since her Riposte is a potential outplay ability that relies on punishing enemies mistakes when timed correctly. Also from the sound of it, I think you are thinking of going all-in at a very early stage of the early game. Her damage is not great early game since her scaling is highly item dependent and even procking all four vitals normally doesn't guarantee you killing the enemy top laner, especially since most of them are tanks or juggernauts who stack HP with items early game and probably have higher base damage. I tried doing this on Garen and Darius and despite I got the lead by outplaying them they won the trade because they just had greater base stats on their retarded ult. Realize you are going glass cannon early since you need offensive items to farm and scale. Don't play her aggressively unless the enemy is a more passive laning champion, as going all-in with glass cannon build early game makes taking agro pretty detrimental. Fiora was always intended to be a light fighter as Riot stated. My best advice is that you play passively and farm as much as you can and just poke when you can see an opportunity where the vital is facing you and the enemy has either burned his/her most important CC or ability that is the main source of damage. If the enemy still has his/her abilities you should always save Riposte to defend yourself and hopefully find a window for outplay. She's very similar to Yasuo in a sense of how you play her in lane, except she doesn't have his insane mobility. Also, remember, more experienced players know that you have Riposte so they mindfully delay their CC or most important outplay ability by waiting for you to panic when they engage on you and you burn your riposte instantly. Try to keep calm and predict when they are going to use their CC. I can't tell you how this help me determine winning the fights against cancerous top laners like Teemo and Quinn who benefit greatly from blinding me. Also, remember when you build item 3077 you somewhat have a power spike both farming and dueling wise. Procking a vital, then instantly using your two procs on her E with the second one being a crit, then your item 3077 active will actually chunk a good amount of health on the enemy. I normally do this rotation and then retrieve and only fully engage with my ult afterwards when I know I am going to kill. Remember, early game it's hard to proc all 4 vitals from her ult since you need the cooldown to dash for them and a super immobile beginner player. But yea, there are certainly other combos since she does have a decent amount of animation canceling combos. Hope this helped. Don't stress yourself too much over it. It's only normal to suck at any champion the first time you pick him/her up. It's only through practice that you'll get better. Besides if you really like a champion, you'll definitely invest your time to learn him/her. Besides, Fiora is a fairly easy champion who has a medium skill curve in learning.

No one said you can't do it. But if you don't like the champion because how her kits damage is based on, its not worth putting the time into her. Try playing draven. He's fun and high skill cap champion

I like the champ and want to learn. If i didn't like it I would not make this post asking for help, now buzz off.

If you like the champ and want to learn it, then I would say just keep going and practice more. Saying "it is too hard" or "it is frustrating" means it is getting interesting. It would not be fun to play a champion and master it after just a few games. Just play her often, try to improve and always keep in mind, you do not have to perfectly master it within the shortest time, so don't rush things with your expectations.

To help with Vitals just remember this : You do NOT have to directly hit it. So if the vital spawns on their back, Q to their side at an angle and you will hit it. You don't have to directly Q into it. That's what people use to bait Fioras in, they know you are going for vitals and they know you have to hit it at a certain angle. So as long as you know what angles will proc that vital, then you should be good and not get baited to your doom.

For your Ult, it's rather simple really. Weaving attacks. Ult, Auto the first one. Q to the side and hit the second one. Use E and Q again to a side and hit the third one. By this time they will try to run so you don't hit that fourth one, but your Fiora, you can Q over and over as long as you hit something with it. Q again and finish off with that last E auto. Sometimes i take exhaust on Fiora just to be an ass lmao. But anyway, if you can weave autos with your E and Q and cancel animations you won't have any problem with that.

Like Riven, Fiora is a very good champ to weave autos and animation cancels with. It should only take you a matter of seconds to hit 2 vitals of her ult. Ult, Auto. Boom first one down. Q to one side. Boom second one down. Flash E auto. Boom third one down. Then Q and get that last E crit in there and take out the last one.

Practice animation cancels and weaving attacks in between them and it'll help you a lot with her ult. And then just learn the angles of which you can hit Vitals with a Q, and you should be good.

It sounds like your problem has less to do with fiora and more to do with general champion control. Practice keeping your curser close to your champion and moving (this also helps with dodging skillshots) also I would assume you should move click more often then you do now. Fiora ult does become a minigame in the sense that the opponent doesnt want you to proc the vitals. Fiora gets a sizable chunk of ms when near her ulted target so you can use that to your advantage and you can even buy frozen mallet as a defensive item to help you out. But try not to use that as a crutch.

early in laning phase try to poke with vitals and cs with q if you find yourself losing. If you land vitals then the sustain is good and you get a ms boost to disengage. save your ripost to counter cc or the highest damage ability that they have. proper use of ripost is very important to laning as fiora. Fiora is pretty flexible in build paths because she can build a bit more beefy and still be effective. Watch some youtube videos on wave managment and work hard on csing under pressure. this will help you on many other champs besides fiora. best of luck
