Can Mana Regen be buffed even a little?

A lot of Mages are rarely seen at the moment( ), and I feel a big reason is because now to actually be able to use your spells in 'dances' (baron and dragon), or siege towers, you need to buy both Seraphs and Morello/Athenes, which is about 5400 gold and 2 item slots to not have to worry about going oom in 2 rotations.

Now, I'm not saying that I want to return to the old days of stalling out games for eternity with something like Ziggs Q, but with things like Zed and Katarina running rampant I feel a way to help mid-lane diversity would be to slightly buff mana regen.

Mages are the newest champs to be sacrificed upon Morello's altar to the glorious resourceless overloaded mega-champ master race. Top lane has been cancerous because of these jerks for years, and now mages have been shot in the foot as well. Nothing more fun that throwing three spells and having to B while your opponent dances around lifestealing back what little poke you can put on him and never being unable to use his spells. Then you dump a ton of gold into mana regen to keep this from happening, while they're buying damage and more damage.

Fun fun.

I can agree with that. The problem with buying a tear is that you get really behind vesus a champion that can build straight damage (Zed, Kat, Akali but she's not that great atm), so you're curving a powerspike that's really important to stay relevant in the mid-game.
