Annie or Brand? (support)

Been playing brand since he's free this week, and have found myself comparing him to Annie.. just want some input from others.

Basic impression: Brand stun generally hard to hit, feels like the hit box is extremely small compared to.. say xerath's skill shot stun Brand has way better poke, and can actually do something pre-6 besides stun Annie can delete with zero effort after 6 every 120/100/80 seconds Brand feels safer, I felt much safer poking at a shorter range and flanking enemies despite being squishy

After reviewing info about each champ, I see some other clear differences

Annie's AP ratios are MUCH better. So when I build damage items late game (or if I play either champ mid), annie is getting more out of it. Brand's Q, W and R having longer ranges than any of annie's spells, but her auto attacks have almost 100 range more. Now that I think about it, I don't think I auto'd with brand once on purpose. But I suppose that's OK because of the good range on his Q and W.

Not really sure here. Brand has better poke, Annie has better everything else. On top of that, Annie requires almost no effort. I already feel obligated to have Annie anyways due to her ability to delete people with no risk, I guess I'm just looking for input from someone who can maybe tell me WHEN I should use Brand over Annie. I haven't unlocked Brand yet so not sure if I will anytime soon as long as Annie is so strong.
