Why isn't there an AD item like Rabadon's Deathcap?

I'm curious as to why there isn't an item that is just a straight total AD boost that doesn't offer any passives or actives besides to increase your overall AD. Is it because such an item would get abused and would be sought after more than Deathcap is?

AD already has a bunch of multipliers. Namely, Attack speed and Crit.

AP ratios are, on average, lower than AD ratios. For that matter, attack damage is also multiplied by crit chance. There's no equivalent for magic damage; only certain spells like Karthus and Xerath, where a direct/isolated hit deals more damage.

Besides, said counterpart already exists: it's the Infinity Edge.

Probably because it'd be too good on ADCs, who don't need better itemization - at least as far as pure damage items are concerned.

Even APs only really get it because spells can't crit.

with AD you can keep auto attacking, AP is usually burst or utility which is probably why only ap gets deathcap

Crit AND attack speed "Is" the marksman deathcap.

Deathcap is a multiplier it is just AD uses multipliers all the time that it becomes forgotten that they do that...esp when the Korean Lucian build is about.
