Can we change malzahars passive?

it is already hard to lane against this champion without his passive, he has a suppression + silence. why does he has to have a item 3102 as passive on shorter cooldown?

pick Malzahar and you have a free lane. that is how I see this champion right now. little to no counterplay -.-

Play a ranged mage against him such as Xerath or Zoe . His shield will break if he takes damages and the shield regeneration cooldown will restart everytime he takes damages. (Keep poking him) He doesn't have mobility so he can only rely on Flash to escape. Force him to flash and wait for your jungler to come. And before you try to cc him, just land an aa on him so he will no longer be immune to crowd control.

You're high. Malzahar is one of the worst, IF NOT THE WORST, laner in the entire game, especially mid. Don't even take the word of a Malz player for it, go look at his opgg stats. He has first blood priority in literally no match ups, in fact his winrate against assassins, his supposedly best match ups because malz was always designed as an anti assassin, are comically terrible (he literally has a 10% first blood rate on katarina, this means in literally 9/10 games, he dies first).

But void, you say, how can a champion that's so ass in lane maintain a high winrate????? Well I'll tell you. It's because 1) it's impossible to outplay his stun early game and 2) to beat malz you actually have to be half way decent on whichever champion you choose to play. That's literally it. In a world where a jungle gank means first blood tower, the ability for this afk farming champ to just stun you long enough for his jungle to kill you is enough to elevate his winrate above other mages (who mostly all suck dick in this meta dominated by kat and duskblade and electrocute). If you want to bitch about something bitch about how shit towers are, or how much impact the jungle has, don't bitch about the weakest part of malz, his laning.

I'd like to chip in that from my experience, he farms up OK, but his damage doesn't scale up nearly so hard as other mages. He's a control mage, and if the player controls well he won't die...but you really gotta make mistakes for him to dot you enough to kill you. Before they changed his minions he could murder people, now not as much.

Like other people have mentioned, simply auto attack him every now and then. The CD on his passive is about 30 seconds for the first few levels, so there's no real excuse given that his early game damage is ass without his minions (which all pretty much die instantly). After six he can set up a good gank so you should watch out for that, but otherwise, his passive isn't really a problem if you just remove it before applying CC.

Lux works really well vs him as his spellshield can be proced byt the slow on your E before you detonate it. so u can still poke him with it
