RNG in League
So, with the release of the pre-season teaser page, http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/gameplay/road-pre-season-gameplay-systems-update I've seen quite a few articles and league players talking about how the addition of the plants in the jg will add to much RNG to the predominantly skill-based game that is League of Legends. With that in mind, here's what's RNG in League, at the moment:
Champions: At the moment, disregarding spaghetti code, there are no champs in league with RNG abilities. However,
have RNG passives, with TF's passive giving him bonus gold, and Zyra's and Illaoi's having them spawn things to interact with their abilities.
Neutral Mobs: At the moment, the only RNG things about neutral mobs are the drake spawns, as they have been separated into four types, each giving a different buff, and spawn randomly.
Plants: The Plants are a new RNG thing Riot is adding. At the moment, 3 types are known. One gives health when destroyed, another gives vision, and a third acts as a Ziggs satchel.
With this said, the addition of some more chance based things would be nice. The plants Riot are adding will have zero effect on the laning phase, early game clears, or early game ganks. Instead, you'll see the difference as a jungler, using one to escape an invade, or a support spotting a vision plant spawning in the river, and using it to clear out wards. Overall, this just seems like it will add more depth and variance to the mid/late game.
