Okay what the fuck is up with this jungle exp?

I had a jungler who camped me for 3+ waves today, and walked out the same level as my jungler who was farming.

He took down two of my item 2055, and then walked by being the exact same level as my own farming jungler while having done absolutely nothing to gain exp from his camps.

Why the fuck are junglers allowed to get away with this and not taxed the least bit for camping these days? I don't blame my jungler as he was actually trying to take objectives but the fact that having a jungler camping me forcing me to play safe wave after wave doesn't go punished to the extent at which they should is fucking apalling.

Why don't junglers gain reduced exp from minions the way laners gain reduced exp from jungle monsters? Why are they allowed to sit right on top of my ward for such extended periods without being punished hard enough?

Well, thats because farm jungle is close to useless in terms of exp. Also, if u are behind jungle camps begin to give you like 100 times more exp

Trash, right? Trust me, I dont like neither to totally outjungle enemy only to be 1 lvl ahead

Even worse is when the enemy jungler sits in your bushes for 20+ seconds at a time, yet somehow has more farm than your passive jungler that's been AFK farming.

Your jungler should counter gank... Only thing I can think of is a while back they made jungle camps grant more xp over time(if that's a thing still).

You don't get reduced XP from jungle monsters.

Because you people complained for the past 4 years straight that JG is an OP role, so they reduced JG exp to laughable levels outside of the catch up XP bonus. Now 90% of Junglers are roaming supports whose only value comes from ganking lanes and you still complain about the role, so they do literally the only thing they can do which is gut JG exp... which again will make Junglers more lane gank oriented.

Sorry been drinking I started doing some research to make a point about how bad jungle has become but I kinda lost tract of my thoughts betwen songs. So heres some links I had pulled up with what little I remember.

S4 Farming jungle was great you ether did good ganks or farm jungle failure to do one of those you fell behind.(side note counter jungling was still a viable strat to put enemies behingd) https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Feral_Flare

I'd rather have old jungle. Sure it had problems I once had a poor Amumu stay level 2 for most of the game due to perma jungle camp with my duo I don't even think we won the game but we sure as hell made sure he couldn't play lol.

Catch-up Xp will get them usually to a level behind the enemy jungler (since camps will be lower level than the level of a farming jungler that is pathing properly).

Farm jungles get level 6 at 6:45 at the absolute latest (third buff) if pathing efficiently. This is around when laners get level 6 and it isn't uncommon to beat a top laner that is losing lane to level 6. A jungler that does not full clear will not usually reach level 6 until around 8 minutes unless they are able to get quick ganks and get kills off of them.

The reality is that balanced jungling can give more xp than pure farm jungling because you can get all of your camp xp and then xp from ganks.

People on these boards are usually not ranked higher than gold. Of these people most of them don't play jungle. As a result most of them have no idea how to actually path as a jungler and as a result many of these posts are uniformed.

Camp timings are already being adjusted to reduce frustration with regard to low elo jungling to benefit farm junglers even though a lot of the best junglers in higher elo in the game like Karthus and Evelynn exclusively farm early game and there is good diversity between ganking and farming junglers.

Some number of Seasons ago, we had Feral Flare and Devourer, which created gameplay patterns which consisted of "I farm until 30 minutes and then I come out and 1v5". Riot thought this was unhealthy (which it obviously was), so they nerfed it later on by taking out the items. Of course, people STILL just farmed it out until later on. Gameplay patterns which consist of not interacting with the enemy Champion and then suddenly wandering out ready to kill everybody isn't fun at all, so it was continuously nerfed to the point of having an overreliance of ganking heavily in order to get anything done nowadays. Luckily, they're reducing the need to gank so much next season.

TL;DR: Riot, along with the community, agreed it was stupid to not have Junglers do anything for the first 30 minutes, so it was nerfed into oblivion. Jungle mains, forever ignored, were left in the dust and forced to gank excessively or lose the game. Neither extremes are fun, and we're currently sitting in the latter until next season.
