Even though malz is strong

I know malzahar is strong and all right now, but i wish they would revert his Voidlings not attacking the same enemy he is attacking unless he has his E on them, it's very frustrating that way because, it very often causes me to die for the stupidest reasons. I cast my W and the voidlings will focus whatever they want. if im in a trade and my E is not on the enemy. Im fighting a kindred with a lot of magic resist and has gone for a tanky path, but my E is down and my voidlings are up, but they decide to focus wolves instead, so i just stand there aaing and die.

i dont want damage buffs, i just want the targeting back. it feels so awkward, i used to play malz all the time

You can reset the duration of his E by hitting an afflicted target with Q. That should then last long enough to cast another E at the end.

It is annoying, but the voidlings do move a lot faster towards the afflicted targets now.

right but there is so much mobility in league no that if you don't have your ult down on them they can gain a sufficient amount of distance for the voidlings to have to close in on reducing their life span and new voidlings will not spawn under a certain amount of time or unless they have hit the same target so many times. making it a wasted effort

I just want them to swap his W and passive.

The new voidlings in general are just a terribly designed mechanic. Complementary damage is all they can viably be without being terribly dysfunctional.
