Before i used to play versus Sion,Maokai,Poppy,Malphite and others...nowdays its only Riven,Yasuo,Fiora,Jayce,Wukong,Talon,Kayle,Teemo....etc
What happened? Wasnt Tank class update meant to make tanks better? We already have 2 carry lanes and potentially jungler why we need carry in top too? Isnt it meant to be tanky lane?

But the real reason is that Tanks dont have a rush item in response to bruisers/fighters/slayers rushing a Black Cleaver, so they just always lose the lane.

i beat a gold riven earlier

Maokai has insane sustain now, so against champions with no sustain he can just roflstomp them. His sap magic is literally nuts.

then how do you explain juggernauts dropping off the face of the earth aswell? theyre a carry role.
the tank item changes took a gigantic shit on every champion who needs defensive itemization, and in the same patch they massively buffed carry items. simple as that.
if you look at win and play rates, pretty much all champions who rely on defensive itemization to function dropped off a cliff.
the item changes with the tank update were a complete failure and made tanks and juggernauts less tanky, while they made squishy ad carries more tanky with the buffed

As for the other tanks, tanks' itemization was reworked. Tank items are now worse as one item spikes, but better against damage late game.
Tanks are worse at dueling and at split pushing. And no, top lane isn't a tanky lane. It's the split push lane.
Tanks are better after the update in their intended roles. Cinderhulk got straight buffed and has more buffs on the PBE. All tank supports now get a Malphite shield and Knight's Vow gives CDR.
The only tank players who are upset are top lane tank players. And they can play juggernauts, divers, marksmen, mages, skirmishers...or they can jungle. Shocking, I know.

You won't EVER see this dude, like, ever. He's just too broken to be not banned. He's even a godlike support, it's fun too - give it a try.
Her passive is just too good to really give up on a jungler role. Fast clear times, a gapcloser with slows and a stun - she's just WAY too good to pass on the junglers role. Plus, she loses to mostly everybody in the top lane.

Did Somebody Say Tank Top?
There is like, a bajillion reasons why you don't want to pick tank top. And Riot apparently doesn't want you to either, because the last known top laner that was a top laner in the meta was but they pretty much ended that in like one patch.
So yeah, if you want a tank - pick Jungle or Support. Or wait until the balancing team decides to stop enforcing a particular playstyle.
