I love normal draft, if everybody only played blind, we would see the stress of a blind pick lobby every match, I use normal draft a lot(only use blind when I wanna try something waayy off meta) I don't really feel comfortable playing ranked or blind excusively, and draft was the best of both queues.
Limmie10 votesThat's Riot for you, one step forward, two steps back. Get solo q back, add replays and a sandbox, but then do stupid crap like jungle plants and taking away draft normals. Blind is absolutely awful, it's just an invitation for trolls and bad supports. It's even more stupid when you realize that you can actually start chatting before everyone is in lobby, so you can call your role first but people not see it because they came in after it.

Having a lower playerbase doesnt mean its not popular. I takes literally 3 minutes to find a game with Draft Pick in EUNE in mid-day. goes up to 5-7 minutes in late night, which is totally acceptable since Blind Pick is nothing but 20 minutes of rage and lane-fight.

Meaning you can just treat Flex Queue as if it were Normal Draft, plus some fancy rewards, plus some weird restrictions on the MMR of allies you can queue with.

High queue times are annoying sometimes but I would almost always chose higher queue time with option to select select position i want to play before low queue time and to have to fight for the position i want or to get stuck with something i do not enjoy playing or even worse to get people trolling because they didn't get what they wanted. Normal draft needs to stay! Make it work RIot! Better remove blind and keep draft!
P A C C S U1 votesRito's logic for removing normal draft is simple. Usually people normal draft, dont like normal blind pick. There are a lot of people who dont play ranked at all but play normal draft. Riot is trying to make these people move from normals to ranked, thus getting more people to play ranked and by increasing that playerbase, making ranked queue times faster.This is just my theory.

Verdade1 votesNormal draft is the same thing as ranked. You get matched according to your MMR in both of them Same ban/pick phase in both of them The only difference is your displayed "rank" which is inaccurate measurement of your skill. Or at least much less accurate than your MMR.
PureSilvrr2 votesBut ranked provides stress from the people who are tryharding Normals is the stress free version of ranked, where you can do anything and it wont hurt your or others rank How many times have you seen people rage on the boards about 1st timing a champ in ranked, going into ranked from just hitting lvl 30, off meta picks in ranked and much more. Normals is the home to all of these things, and us normals players accept them
