Remove crits like you did dodge please.

If you'd like a more static skill based game then luck id recommend the idea of removing crits. Oh god the people that hate change would hate this idea/post...but my anus is ready for hate I just hope more level headed people can read.

I hope you're ready for every ADC to get much more powerful to account for no crits.

A bigger problem, however, is how ingrained critical hits are to RPGs. From the classic tabletop games to bleeding edge VR RPGs, that chance to turn the tide, a simple stroke of fate has been a part of it since its beginning. Removing crits is a hard sell and you need to provide a definitive benefit to everyone on why removing it is good.

I am angry about this post because stuff and reasons and things. Random damage from crit always in my favor because I am the boss/best/sniff my own farts. How else am I supposed to pwn/roflstomp. they cant because yadda yadda yadda meh yasuo/gp/every adc in general.

Dodge was removed because Jax was pure BS with it.

There is no one who is just pure insane with crits so there is no incentive to either remove or rework it.

And what would the compensation changes be?

Because crit allows for multiplicative scaling that doesnt absolutely destroy towers.

By removing crit, you NEED to buy AD. And by buffing AD, you make ADCs destroy towers even faster. And you buff AD champions who didnt build crit in the first place.

Crit is FAR more commonplace than Dodge ever was. You cant just remove it.

Let's make this an intelligent discussion. Remove Crits from itemization and keep it in kits like on Pantheon/Tryndamere? Or remove it altogether?

What compensation buffs should ADCs get? More options for flat AD? On-hit builds? Heavier investment into ArPen?

Just "remove crit" without anything else to counter-balance the loss would have severe, severe consequences.

I knew people would have a hard time imagining league without crits and really it doesn't make a difference just makes the people who don't have horse shoes up there ass have a better chance.

Heroes of the storm does fine without crits! and you don't need something to compensate for the 40% chance to do more dmg itd be fine dont freak out. riot wants a more skill/clean easy to read game. removal of crits helps this LOTS so many times in fights they win cuz they got lucky with tripple crit and i got none yeah skill..

The biggest argument against this, imo, is that crit isn't free. When an ADC builds crit instead of straight AD, they are willingly choosing random spikes of damage instead of steady, reliable damage (and usually ability scalings). As many times as a lucky 15% crit has finished you off, an 85% crit chance didn't proc when they needed it.

It has its place. People are rarely asking for its removal purely out of concern for game balance: more often, it's personal anecdotes and confirmation bias.
