Why do we even have all chat...?
Like really all it is for is trash talking and being cocky it breeds toxicity thats why most mobas without all chat have less toxicity then lol

I've met some really friendly people on the enemy team! All-chat is definitely toxic and harmful. It'd probably be better if we didn't have it. But sometimes the enemy team is nicer to you than your own teammates, and when that happens it makes me think League isn't so bad after all.
to say gl hf at the start of the game and gg wp at the end? to compliment your opponent when they outplay you? to tell jokes? to trick them by saying everyone on your team is going top but you all go bot? no idea. probably causes more harm than good.
you do know you literally have to turn all chat on in settings? It's off by default, and you chose to have it on.
I find the enemy team is usually nicer than your own team
It does cause some of it, that's why you can go to your options and turn it off.
On the other hand it can be useful in friendly cases where if you want to compliment the enemy on something you feel they did good then you can (instead of having to wait till after game).
Friends call each other fags and retards in this country on a daily basis, why do we care so much about trashtalk and toxicity?
if riot was smart they would take away chat completely. along with laugh dance taunt etc. they put all that in the game and then they act surprised when people are toxic haha.
I wonder how they imagined laugh would be used?
Turn it off if you don't find the "mute" option sufficient.
