Sweeping lens

WHY.

Why Riot had to remove it? In some bad cases i could stick to sweeping lenses cause they had very large range for activation which allowed me to check whats going on in that brush instead of facechecking it. Quite often coming close enough to put ward there or throw ability could result in horrible death. Now what? I have to facecheck everything?

They explained it.

The decision-making surrounding trinket swaps is currently a bit more complicated than it needs to be. By making swaps more consistent and decreasing the number of potential swaps, we're hoping to make the gains from those swaps more clear.

Yeah, noobs couldn't figure out trinkets so we'll continue with dumbing the game down more to cater to them and everyone gets to suffer for it. That's what we're going with for now.

Ward sooner, check brush with a skill shot, or get someone with blue trinket to check (or get a tank to check).

Really the primary purpose of the lens is to remove vision, not as an anti-facecheck thing which is what blue trinket is for. You can swap trinkets easier now, so if you really found yourself using red trinket for that purpose more often than it's main purpose, you could swap to blue.

I never said that i used it more often for that purpose. But i COULD if i wanted. It also gave me a chance to disable wards from far away. It had its own advantages.

Not every champion can give you an option of checking with skillshot. Like Sona or Teemo for example. Or you might have to come waaaay to close.

Wards sooner is a great idea. What if i have no wards on me? Ever. Im not playing support right now for example? And i want to set up ambush. With old lens i could check if there is anyone already waiting for me and check if there is any vision. Without dropping pink in every fucking brush after using blue on it.
