It's in the name of the thread," Wards Lives Matter", it's a very obvious link to ,"BLM". Also, as according to a Herald above, it's mocking a controversial group, even if unintentionally, and apparently a comment chain broke out concerning it. So yeah, the post might not have been made to spew a political opinion, but it still contained political terms that sparked some arguments.

On top of this, i have a personally problem in Lol's forums which i disrespect a lot and found it too frustration to me. i have read the universal rules of boards many time before and there is something which i don't understand.

We dont tolerate posts that discuss,

Religion
Sex
Politics
Any social issues, though some exceptions may be appropriate.

Okay, Now what do they mean by Sex? Sexuality of characters? The outlook of characters? Sex overall? Sex bite threads?

I have seen a millions of them everyday that bite the bull's-eye of a large sexuality thread with UPVOTES and is not deleted. My problem that i open Lol's forums to watch news, get some memes, to discuss some stuff, to complain about in-game stuffs, to check what is new, i'm from Eune even though i'm pretty sure that i'm welcomed here.

But now i open Lol's forums and i find many threads that bite bit of sexual attitudes with a large mean topics like (Hotter) (Boobs of Morgana) (Boobs of Ahri) etc, And we all know these kind of threads are meant to bite of sexual attitudes in the Lol's forums. which is not allowed in the universal rules.

Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Hey there, guys and gals.

Wanted to pop in and give an update on this situation. I have looked into it, and, while the thread in question did have a comment chain that violated board rules and a title that was a bit too politically charged for the boards environment, I think there's a middle ground that can solve these issues and allow for the thread's restoration.

I will be reversing the deletion, but I will be removing the problematic comment chain and also editing the title of the post, which does mock a fairly controversial socio-political topic and, as such, is not really something we want around. Normally we do not do this sort of content edit, so this is an exception to our usual policy in this particular instance -- future instances will likely end up removed, with the OP encouraged to repost the thread without the offending title. I'll make sure the team knows to include this clarifying line in future removals as well, as I notice it was not included here.

I'd be interested in hearing the community's input on this policy as well -- we're open to discuss changing this rule if the community would rather moderation do content edits on threads that have rule-breaking elements but have been left up long enough to get actual discussion going.

Edit: The post has been restored. You can find it here. OP, please let me know if you'd like me to change the new title to a different one of your choosing.

In the future you're always welcome to come to the Discord or, if you feel it needs escalation, ping a Herald. I'm usually around within a few hours, and the other Heralds will also be happy to assist when they're available.

That said, while I do understand your frustration and your perspective, the accusations of insanity are not the most helpful to efficient resolution. Our moderation team does make mistakes (or, in this case, discretionary decisions that, while not incorrect by our official policies, could have been resolved in a better fashion), and having a friendly discussion tends to be my preferred method of reaching a resolution faster and with less conflict on both sides. It makes it easier for everyone to approach the problem with the other side's good intentions in mind -- something I think caused some miscommunication in this thread, and something we as a moderation team will try to do better on in the future. <3

I dont have any problem with the new title. I think it suits content well enough with proper sound to it.

You're welcome, although I'd personally appreciate it if we could back off the rest of the team. Everyone tries their best and was chosen due to their dedication to making the boards a better place, but some people have more experience than others, some people are better at communicating their reasoning in a community-facing way than others, and none of us -- myself included -- will ever be beyond improvement. It's much more helpful to me -- and to the entire team -- when feedback is constructive, friendly (if frustrated), and actionable rather than a blanket statement like this.

In short, give us stuff we can work with and we'll try our best to make improvements in those areas, but critique like this doesn't help our team improve in ways that make the boards a better place.

10/10 quality post we never saw before. Great suggestion. That's as good as all the posts that suggest "just lower damage by 10%, trust me, it won't break anything and fix the game". These usually get around 30 upvotes too, by people who are flat out retarded and actually believe that is a good idea.

Meanwhile other well thought out posts get downvoted because they aren't circlejerking, but as soon as you add something like "duskblade broken" or "Why is AD better than AP" or "mobility OP" you instantly get to hot.

Just look at the fcking hot page. This is the top post:

I had my share of such topics. Thats why i decided to keep it simple and clickbaity. Otherwise you wont get attention and most people wont understand what you are talking about. You always had the ability to see where the enemies have vision, and the ability to clear enemy wards has also been there for years. The only version of duskblade that didn't have it was the initial release.

If I read a post, I want to know something after that I didn't before, even if it's long. A good post should point out issues, elaborate why it is an issue and have interesting suggestions that you haven't seen 100 times already, and isn't just suggesting to remove something that would fuck over an entire class.

Ability to oneshot wards been added in 8.6. Before that assassin had choice - to clear ward or ignore it. In first case you lost vision from it but got yourself some time while he was at it. In second case ward would at least stay alive for some time giving you information.

Passive that tells you where enemies have vision without having to waste red trinket is just OP.

isn't just suggesting to remove something that would fuck over an entire class.

So having something that fuck ups every other entire class for some of which warding is sacred duty is okay? And removal of it wont impact actual dmg from from assassin and therefore their ability to be useful in fights. But will give people more counterplay. (warding kinda the best counter to DB users)

The ability to OS wards was added to compensate for nerfing duskblade cause ranged champs were abusing it. But apart from that:

Assassins are kind of not the strongest class. People always say that they are op af but that usually comes from silvers who just don't know, or flat out refuse to learn how to play against them.

Pro play shows us that the Assassins which boards claim to be OP, and especially Duskblade, are far from strong.

If Duskblade is so OP, why didn't I see a single duskblade user in Rift Rivals? I literally just checked the last few match histories and didn't see a singe Duskblade.

They don't even build it on Pyke, who is picked pretty frequently, and usually go for item 3142 and item 3071 first.

You can't even come at me with the argument that it's something else in pro play, because pro play actually resolves far more around the vision game and especially vision denial, so Duskblade should by your argument be even more broken in pro play to deny vision. But not even the support Assassin champ rushes it. Now why is that? I highly doubt that is because they are forbidden to build it.

Thing is, I noticed that you are actually a person willing to make discussion so I kind of was wrong on you at first.

So I would rather reply down here where probably no one sees it than making a fresh comment on the other post because I know that when I wake up tomorrrow my inbox would be flooded by ~20 hate comments that are essentially just something like "REEEE, Duskblade does damage, it's OP!!!" Sadly, I know this boards too well and it's kinda rare to actually find people that are open to a discussion in the first place, so rarely even try anymore.
