Ekko seems like Reverse Bard

Bard has a hard time being good because everything he does is telegraphed and counterable. He has time time everything knowing this and his team has to back him up with these things.

Ekko has an easy time being good because everything he does is telegraphed and counterable. This means the enemy has to keep track of everything he can do or he will burst them down. No need for a team to join in.

Both have strong kits with a lot of counterplay.

I know it's not quite that simple. But it seems both are built around the idea of having a lot of power with drawbacks.

Just like how Bard is now becoming seen as good. In time I expect Ekko to have the reverse feeling. Once people get used to being able to avoid his abilities.

Not saying he's OP. Just find it interesting.

If I make the assertion that their CC, utility, and difficulty are about equal. Then the real difference is that Ekko actually carries when he uses his kit.

If bard divides half the team with his ult, or stuns 2 guys with his Q. It's worthless unless another teammate follows up. (and how likely is that in YoloQ?)

If ekko gets two or 3 guys with his W or Ult, someone on the enemy team will likely die. (likely a carry)
