Spoils of war -- Zz' Rot Portal interaction

As a disclaimer off the bat, I am unsure if this interaction is fully intended or if it is a bug.

attacking a voidling will trigger the passive from items in the Relic Shield family (Spoils of War) and cause you to loose a charge. Is this an intended interaction? if we look at the description of both items, Spoils of war specifies "Minions" where Zz'Rot Portal specifies "Voidspawn". For clarity sake, if this interaction is as it should be could we change the wording on Zz'Rot Portal to "Voidspawn Minions"? Where this is a minor inconvenience, it does put supports in a situation where attacking voidspawns directly hurts their economy, not by a lot but supports already are the poorest members on the team and loosing a charge with no gold gained seems to me to be a bit of a problem.
