Make it clear that report for "unskilled" are not actually report.

Hey, just I thing I wish existed.

Currently, we can report a player for being unskilled. Wich is NOT actually a report. Because you never get sent to tribunal or punished for being unskilled. It just slightly lower your elo to help that the matchmaking put you at the right level.

This is good.

Except that it seems many player don't know that. They keep asking to report player x for feeding. (wich generally makes me want to report THEM for negative attitude.)

So, can we make it clear you CAN use this option to "report feeders" and it's not actually mean or insulting. It's just a way to point to the matchmaking that this player was clearly not at his level in this game.

I don't think the unskilled report tag actually does anything, not even the elo bit.

I have always thought it was only there for ventilation purposes, oh well.

You don't really need some artificial way to lower the elo or whatever, if he doesn't belong, he'll drop, simple as that.

The whole point of the unskilled player option is that nerdraging neckbeard will use that instead of clogging the system with useless reports, so as of right now it serves its purpose just fine.

So, there's no actual results that come from being reported for being unskilled?

I mean, if I get 100 people to report me as being unskilled, what will happen?

Funny thing is when someone says hes gonna report you for feeding he usually uses the verbal abuse report to make sure you are banned. That is just how messed up the community is right now.

Unless you are legit feeding, there is really no reason for you to get reported (for a legit punishment). Feeding and getting out-played are two different things, but people can't really tell the difference so they rage.

But yeah, there should be an option to rate someone's performance to knock them down to a spot more fitting for them. This would help not only the people who are more experienced, but the people who are less experienced and are getting stuck with better players.

I always thought There was another reason. riot dosn't like it when you pay someone to get your rank higher than it should be. this is a tool to help them find those who are doing this. though it wont give an instant punishment if several people report you it will make them investigate further.

Lyte said he's never seen someone get 'in trouble' for unskilled player and he thinks he never will.

Some people say it might lower MMR or something like that but I've never seen something that confirms it.

If I want to report someone for unskilled player I always just pick something else even if it's not true because I know that specific report option does nopthing.

the dumbest thing riot did was put this garbage policy in place. this is all i fucking see, and ONLY this game. You hear first blood and i hear "omfg scrub report for feedin" its fucking pathetic riot. uw anna baby players, pick a game that doesnt revolve around killing, blood, suicide, and sexual innuendos. its fucking pathetic.

I always thought it was there to catch people who bought their accounts early. If you're really Silver, but you buy a Diamond account, if you try to play on it you'll get rekt, and it will look like you're way too unskilled to be Diamond, which would be true.

Sure, if you play regularly your losses will eventually grind you back down to the rating where you belong. But you'll be disrupting a lot of other people's games on the way down, which is why they'd want to catch account-buyers early.

Man, wouldn't that be nice? If a report didn't signify dislike of the person or their attitude, but was just a "Hey, bud, you don't really belong here."

I know I've been hesitant to report players, even for being unskilled, if I was convinced they were giving it their best shot and trying to learn. It felt mean. This kind of clarity could help avoid that.

The one use i could think of it is to flag someone as potentially ELO boosted

They certainly aren't going to ban players for simply having a bad game or not being that good. But it is handy to have a list of players who report others for being "noobs." and I get the impression that it gets factored into the system somewhere when it comes time for their promos.

Bolwinkel3/23/2015, 10:51:22 PM1 votes

When you hover over that option it tells you it's not a bannable offense

I always assumed it was there as bait for the crying idiots that report the other 9 after they lose a game. Keeps them off the real report options.
