Suggestion: No AR URF (Explained)
No one likes the AR version of URF. But Riot has had concerns about "only 10 champions" being played. Well, I've got a list of suggestions, in order of development time needed....and general desirability. (I mean, there are several months between each URF, so...meh.)

Just add bans. Now the "top 10" will no longer be played, except when someone forgets who the "top 10" are. Very simple. Basically already developed. Just slow to get in to the game.

Add pre-bans. Instead of picking a banned champion in-champ-select, you pick it during queue, but otherwise proceeds as normal blind pick. Requires a modest amount of development, but shouldn't be too difficult. Few downsides, overall. Maybe the "top" 10 get played every so often. But hey. That's all for the variability of the games.

Implement a "Bucket" system. Have it randomly pick from a bucket (or randomly generate a bucket, if preferred) of, say, 20 champions. Both teams are limited to those same champions, but it otherwise functions like blind pick. A great system, overall. You are no more screwed by randomness than your enemies, as you have the exact same pool to pick from. And it's not the same every time, so the "Top 10" will not be reliably in the game.

Implement Bucket with pre-bans. Already discussed the basics. But basically these pre-bans prevent the champions from showing up in that player's bucket.

As #4 but with preferences too. Preferences would be picked as pre-bans increase the chance of that champion showing up in the bucket, assuming it's not banned.
