Manaless champions can be more like Dawngate's champions?

I'll admit, I'm a bit of a Dawngate fanboy. However, I do think that Riot could learn something from it. Particularly with regard to their manaless champions. Of particular note: making them have decently long cooldowns so that even if you 'can' spam everything, you don't neccesarily want to remove one of your tools willy nillly. (Of course, in Dawngate, everyone was manaless, so they got off easy because everyone was balanced in this respect, but still the basic idea should apply.) The most ready example of really poorly balanced cool downs is Yasuo Yasuo's dash, which, while it does have a cooldown on a single target, it has virtually no cooldown while in a lane or team fight. So, there's absolutely no reason not to just spam it since you will always have it up, and never run out of resources (in fact, he technically increases his resource by just spamming it). I mean, it wouldn't even need to be a long, even even almost moderate cd, but just a 2 second global cool down on it so rushing in with w isn't 'completely' risk free.

A yasuo spamming his e is just asking to put himself out of position and raped. Yasuo is in a good spot IMO. Does huge amount of damage but is very squishy. A better example would be riven, who through cdr effectively has 4 dashes, a stun, and a knock up on 5 or 6 second cooldowns at most full build

Riot has nothing to learn from a game that failed, and attracted a miniscule playerbase.

1), there were quite some champs in dawngate with pretty low cds(i really miss that game^^) 2) nearly all resourceless champs have pretty high cds, atleast in the early 3) i see no problem with low cd no cost skills as long as it isn't longranged or easy to land poke, or strong sustain, or massive mobillity with nearly no conditions(yasus E has damn strict conditions) In fact, i really don't understand why many melees like Xin actually have mana. Honestly, fights between two no-mana gated champs are far more interesting, atleast if they are shortranged, as it's actually worth to go ham some times and you will have a way more actionpacked and trade-heavy lane.

you're basically asking, can champions be balanced?

answer given by riot is a clear no, manaless champions must be better than mana champions.
