Re: Elise, thanks Rito

When the jungle change came I made a thread about how I was struggling a great deal just to clear it and keep up with the enemy junglers let alone gank at the same time, I was basically run off the board by people screaming about how she's stronger than ever, and top tier jungler.

Because of that I left the jungle entirely instead of trying to adapt to the change hoping that some top players streams would help me in the future when it was more figured out. As you may have guessed this never happened. So thanks for the change and for not listening to the general consensus on this forum. I can go back to trying to learn the new jungle again, I like at minimum having the ability to play all positions at a somewhat competent level.

I'm confused. I haven't seen a single comment since the jungle changes about Elise being strong. In fact quite the opposite as her pick/win-rate suggests. He winrate has actually dropped below Urgot several times recently.

And I am really not sure how an additional 25 max damage on her Q changes anything. I mean that seriously. A maximum of 25 additional damage on her Q is quite literally nothing. All major monsters have well over 1,000 health at lv 1.

That's not the only buff she got with this patch.

Jungle monsters are easier. Jungling provides more gold. Jungle monsters provide more xp. You can swap out unenchanted jungle items, and surprise the enemy team with a temporary poaching knife, then switch back. You can drop a zzrot portal to pressure enemy laners while setting up a gank.

Who knows what the jungle will look like tomorrow?

Those are not Elise specific buffs though. While she will benefit, so will everyone else.

I think that might be enough though to make her much more viable. Previously, she was just shy of being able to tank with just her spiders and needed tanky items to survive while farming the jungle. I'm hoping that the changes give her the ability to explore new itemization options.

If that's the case, then the changes help her out a lot more than anyone else, and might be enough to actually have a diverse jungle again.

That wasn't the consensus when I made my post 2 months ago. Example:

"what???

elise is amazing on season 5 jungle."

Anyways it's a start, every little bit helps. Also the change to jungler item will help her a little.

Who was saying that she was a top tier jungler, stronger than ever, after the changes?

So just tried her vs bots, the clear is more forgiving now due to the bonus gold income. Was just an experiment though, moved some masteries around, played with build order and I think she might be at least viable now. I'm thinking Rangers Trailblazer->Stalker's Blade Magnus now that I can trade the jungle items for free. Should help with the clear. Can also transition into it at any time if I'm looking for a specific gank.

Also pushed in a very offensive anti jungle rune/mastery build instead of what I used to run which was more tanky.

I am going to laugh if that 1 Q buff suddenly just brings her win rate up to like 65% and everyone suddenly just cries out in pain. What if it happens?

That'd be cool but as mentioned most the jungle improvements are global so she's still going to be a bit behind. She should start winning more just because she has the ability to gank without falling too far behind again, that alone means she can impact the battle where she couldn't before. Other junglers will just do what they do faster but wont have entirely new avenues open to them. I'm sure she'll be a low tier jungler but at least she can play again.
