She said it set unrealistic standards. She asked if that's what I want? I said yes (I made the mistake of being honest). She went into a massive fit of rage, I've never seen her so livid. I asked why not have fun with it, you can dress up as her...That's when she got violent, screaming about how she'd never stoop so low, how she couldn't understand how men could want that and how disgusting it was objectifying women like that etc. etc. and all this after I dressed up as a champion for HER! She didn't seem to have a problem with that though. So here I am dressing up as Cho'Gath for my woman and she finds the mere thought of dressing up as Rek'Sai disgusting and offensive to women cause "unrealistic standards". What a load of crap.

TL;DR GF wont dress up for me.

Disregarding breast size for a moment... the reason "most females don't look like that" is because (especially in USA) "most females" are overweight. If they simply maintained healthy rate levels (BMI or otherwise) they wouldn't always feel on the losing side of things.

Weight, unlike other issues, is purely a choice and not a birthright... solution of course is simply stop eating food. Alas since females lack even this basic self-control in the 21 century it is no wonder they lack focus on other matters as well.

As a person who's spent quite a lot of time studying human anatomy, I can assure you that Barbie is inaccurate representation of average female proportions, just like He-Man and Batman are inaccurate representations of average male proportions.

But even ignoring that little piece of information, weight is a much, much more complicated issue than you seem to believe. Yeah, people in the 21 century are on average, overweight, but that goes for both men and women. For some people, weight actually is determined by their genetics, their "birthright" as you put it. People have differing metabolisms, retain more fat than others, have glandular issues. And you don't lose weight from just "not eating." That's like saying you get along with people by just "not getting angry". Its not that simple, not for ANYBODY, men or women. Literally anyone over the age of 16 should know that. I have no clue where the hell you picked up your information on human biology but you are severely misinformed.

ALL OF THAT ASIDE, you completely ignored most of my argument in where I mentioned that the problem is not proportions, its variety of body types.

Yeah, 100% agree that Barbie is anatomically impossible. From a mathematical standpoint, the human body can have it's overall dimensions calculated and fitted to a particular mathematical formula, every human being on the planet falls into the same dimensional formula -barbie doll bodies have dimensons that don't even come close to fitting into the formula.

That said, in America.. Much more women are obese than not. Some depictions of women in LoL do somewhat fall outside the realm of possibility -but that is mostly older artwork. The newer artworks are perfectly reasonable depictions of the female body -in fact, my wife's body type is almost identical to the champion, Vi's (even she agrees).

The newer iteration of Katarina's artwork(s) depicts a much curvier, fuller-form than her original artworks.

If you frequent a gym in my area, there are plenty of women there that fall within the body-type paradigm that Riot games has moved towards -if you walk into Walmart, yeah, League's female body standards begin to seem unreasonable lol.

Just because most women in America don't pay attention to or care what they eat, they get defensive and angry when things depict female bodies in a fit manner.. It's just plain old fashioned insecurity.

I disagree with how easy you make it seem. Eating the right things and not eating too much without bad habits is extremely hard for some people. And it's not insecurity either. It's one of or a combination of addiction, bad habits(like snacking at odd hours), and mental health issues(like depression) and addiction is probably the main one.. Addiction isn't funny business. It's not as simple as saying no. It fills your mind to where all you can think about is food. It consumes you when you haven't had your fix. And when you haven't had your fix you can have your own variation of withdrawal symptoms such as depression, anger, etc. which can lead to headaches and so on. If it was as simple as you're saying than nobody would be obese. I was a heroine addict for many years of my life and I know addiction. My mother is obese and has been trying to get fit for a long time and what she describes to me is almost identical to how I felt with heroine. Yes, heroine has physical extremely painful withdrawals but with food it is a necessity. You need it to survive. You can't go cold turkey like I did successfully after my 3rd rehab and countless times of trying to stop on my own. With food, you have to manage your addiction somehow. You have to take the drug your addicted to everyday and manage it. I thank God that I'm not obese and having g problems with food because with how much trouble I had with heroine, it was literally impossible to "manage" my addiction without going g overboard and had to be done completely sober. Just my 2 cents with a wall of text.

Here's the deal, and some hard cold facts about food in America:

The food regulations in America are horrendous, food companies are allowed to use blatantly toxic chemicals that cause all forms of health problems as well as addict your brain to the chemicals and the food the chemicals reside in. More then 70 chemicals that are banned in the rest of the established world are used in the US food supply. Simply cutting these chemicals alone out of your diet will have a significant effect on your bodily health -the trick is knowing what to look for, and actually looking at the ingredients list before you buy something.

However...

There is one very simple and easy way to avoid these chemicals if you are simply too lazy to read the back of the box you are buying:

Buy organic foods. Every single toxic, addictive chemical that is used in mainstream foods are not allowed in the production of certified organic food. If you are addicted to something, you can find an organic version of it these days -just today I ate organic chicken and vegatable potstickers that were free of toxic additives including MSG.

The other BIG kicker in most mainstream foods is: processed salt.

Processed salt contains anti-clumping agents that literally attempt to break down your cell walls when you consume it, it causes digestive problems, inflammatory problems, and absolutely destroys your metabolism.

Switching to sea salt fixes your exposure to these toxic anti-clumping agents.

My point is that it really isn't that hard. Our local costco and winco provide enough organic foods that my wife and I have been eating organic almost entirely for the past two years -and it's not that expensive. Our grocery costs between the two of us ranges from 200-300 dollars a month.

Not sure if the whole thing is a joke or if only the latter part - anyways my girlfriend saw me playing ahri and I mentioned her kit revolving around charm (this was before the change) and she related it to some story she heard as a kid. I think she also saw me playing caitlyn and may have made a comment there but ultimately had no problem with it.

I think reasonable people see nothing wrong with the female champions being typically attractive. Unrealistic standards my ass: how are superman, he-man, etc... remotely realistic standards for men? Yet we never hear about boys having problems with unrealistic standards being set for them, because reasonable people accept that an "ideal" is not meant to be realistic. Why should league champions be any different? Male champions should have big arms that you'd need steroids to get in real life.

I'm a woman that plays League and I have never had a problem with the female champions. Sure, there are a few outfits that are dumb, but nothing is NEARLY as bad as what other games give us. Here on League, we get lots of cleavage (realistically sized) and Akali's thighs. Some games we get weird ginormous bouncing breasts, butt cheeks, hip bones, camel toes.... Anyway, I don't believe League is objectifying women. Our ladies fight with swords, bows, spears, knives, etc.

You know what is objectifying? Princess Peach fights with her tears. That's pathetic and does nothing but show women as being crybabies. Here in League, we don't have to deal with that nonsense.

I'll take Miss Fortune's massive boobs over that any day.

I would somewhat understand if an average person wouldnt dress up as Katarina or Ahri, but Rek'sai? It got me really pissed when I read her saying she wouldn't dress as Rek'sai and she wouldnt stoop too low. She is basically saying she isn't going to be that much of a "nerd" to your face. And thats what makes me pissed.
