@RITO are programmed macros cheating?

Okay, so I was thinking about buying the razer blackwidow, and the programmable macros are a great feature. Now before you guys go saying "i dont see an advanage in macros", watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JShw4lL6L5E (im almost 100% sure the kat was using ward jump macros) ... This video made me realize how big of an advantage ward jump macros actually are. I looked thru lcs and challenger series rulebooks to see if it said anything about macros (i/e safeguard> item 3340 or item 3128 >q combos on a mage). There was nothing in the rulebooks, but i can't help but feel that these instantaneous key-presses are at least frowned upon. Can anyone with experience/knowledge on this topic help? thanks :)

Well, if players are turning to external programs to provide them better controls, Riot should just put those macros into the game. For example, everyone has smartcast. That's essentially a two button macro: hit key and left click. Similarly, attack move, which is actually an intelligent macro that does more than just press buttons, it detects an enemy to right click and right clicks it. These controls make gameplay much easier, and are inaccessible to new players. It's not that hard to ward jump. It's inconvenient when you could be focusing on something else, but so is using abilities without smartcast or frantically switching your mouse from your AA target to where you want to move. It doesn't aim for you; you still have to have your mouse where you want to go. And it's not like binding a combo; it's only two button presses(4 without smartcast) and doesn't do undodgable burst damage. I think that ward jumping, at least, is just better controls. There's a point where a macro is playing the game for you, but ward jumping is pretty far below that.

They are cheating. Thats like asking if aim bots on a first person shooter are ok. :/

Ya, I've seen Kat macroers too. Macros have ruined many online games and if something isn't done, it'll eventually ruin League too. It seems it's already started to.

But but but that moment when an Ori macros her full burst combo on one key and misses it.

Its cheating. if what you are doing isnt controlled by your hands, your clicks, your senses its cheating, period. its like a bot script, except it makes you superhuman instead of a neanderthal.

Anything that gives you an edge over the average player that isn't available to all is considered cheating.

Macros are third party programs that affect gameplay. Not allowed, possible bans if detected.
