The situation you've all put potential Lee Sin Players in

So as I'm sure many of you know, Lee Sin is getting a legendary skin. It's a good skin, needs some model work, but other than that it's okay. The problem is how many of you are acting over this. Lee sin looks like an interesting champ. I wish they'd remove the ward-hopping, but that's an issue for another day. Basically, he looks cool, and I, along with many other players, are genuinely interested in trying Lee out.

Unfortunately, here's where you guys come in. You get mad at people for playing Lee Sin, call them dumb, say they have no skill, etc. Yes, his kit needs to be dialed back, but every time someone dies to Lee, people don't go "I feel outplayed by that Lee Sin" even if he did actually outplay you. Instead, you get mad and post on the boards about how it's unfair.

Now his legendary skin is coming, and while I'm sure there will be people who just hop on the bandwagon, there are people like me who legitimately think Lee Sin is interesting and like the sort of character type that God Fist presents. Unfortunately, if I actually play Lee, enjoy him, and get the god fist skin, people will be shouting at me and other players about being a meta sheep.

Do you see the problem? In your anger at the champ, you forget that some people might genuinely think the champ looks cool, and not care about the mobility or anything. You're scaring people off because of the vitriol you spread.

@thread Lee sin would be interesting if he didnt have so much damage while not building damage. His mobility and jungle capability are obscene... and along with Orianna, he is one of the most powerful champions in the game.

Further, lee sin has no identity. He is the quintessential jack of trades and; He is capable of everything. He has no backstory, no lore. He has the single largest playerbase in the ENTIRE GAME at 35% globally. He has the single highest winrate:pick rate ration in the game at 48% average winrate across all elos across all regions. He has the stigma of being one of riots favorites, and is thus more criticized than most.

The new lee sin skin is cool and pretty, but it feels like a potential "re-brand" of the champion. I could VERY easily see this skin replacing the base lee-sin entirely and just removing the gold and particle effects. It just changes what is supposed to be a humble repentant sinner into an arrogant, edgy ass.

... Also lee sin has something like 8+ skins? He doesnt need a legendary. You know who does? Yorick. Cho gath. Aatrox. Renekton. Nasus.

I see what you think is a problem, but I don't think it's a problem because I don't give a flying fuck what other people think about me. If they talk shit they just get muted.
