I was listening to the special interactions for Rakan, and one of his lines was very interesting. When he kills swain, he may comment that, "you were given Vastayan blood, yet chose to be blind."
This is interesting, and it is possible that Swain may be an upcoming rework, given that Taric was teased by Aurelion Sol before the relaunch. But more interesting is what this implies: you can be given Vastayan blood. Does htat make you half-Vastayan?
That'll tie nicely into the noxian invasion of Ionia Imagine young, wounded soldier swain coming face to face with the Vastayah and being shown kindness and given a part of their heritage...
Only to use this new blood to rise to power, commanding the very nation that brought ruin upon Ionia.
I will consider Swain's new lore a success if they leave enough of the mystery surrounding him to inspire the speculation and fear that made him such an epic character in the first place.
