Aftershock, Tanking and Resolve tree in general

Every champion deserves the right to defenses / ways to trigger Aftershock, it's polarizing the champion pool: why is it fair to just be champions like Sej, Pyke, Lissandra, Fiddlesticks etc able to double their health bar just for pressing a button.

I don't feel like I'm on the wrong side of this - Malphite, Sion, Dr Mundo, and many more rely on some sort of auxiliary rune like Spellbook or Grasp. Grasp is a neat lane rune, but it doesn't really help tanks fulfill their duty. It's also useless in the growing pool of top lane ranged match ups.

I'm much more preferential to mechanics like

Bone Plating made into a keystone that stacks rather than diminishes per hit taken?

damage reduction while you're affected by hard CC? 10% for first second of CC, 20% after 1 second, 50% after 2 seconds straight

wukong passive but doesn't suck? (scaling defenses per nearby enemy champ)

==Better minor runes would be nice. ==

Unflinching made into a better generic rune for resisting slowing effect and/or displacement.

nerf demolish - hard, this rune is abused by lane bullies fighters and shovers not tanks

enemies you auto debuffs damage output by small percent?

conditioning buffs 8% instead, or grants a portion of it's bonuses incrementally instead of just once at 10m.

bring back celestial body in some form as a resolve minor or keystone, like every 200 bonus hp adds another 50 hp, but reduces your dmg to champions by 2%. something that makes it easier to trigger warmog's armor timing for tanks, currently it is almost impossible to go warmog's second. I don't like warmog's current design, but we need an item that rewards calculated damage sponging that isn't this cheesy bullcrap gargoyle stoneplate

a lot of these ideas are probably overblown but I really hate how little rewarding defenses can be acquired through conscious effort in this game, be a champ with a dumb fail safe button or get bent?

I don't think there's a problem with Aftershock. How many of those champions can use any of the Precision keystones reliably? It scales no where near as good as any of the Precision keystones. Fiddlesticks and Lissandra only take it, because of how inadequate other keystones are and how vulnerable they are. They don't even build enough armor or magic resist to make it relevant past early game.

I only take Aftershock when I know I'll be getting beat by the enemy team the whole game and it makes it just slightly more bearable while losing out on the damage oriented keystones.
