You have just proven you are beyond redemption, Riot

Re: "We made the climb longer intentionally"

So, your reasoning is that smurfs - people who intentionally want to _play _in low elo to stomp, NOT **CLIMB **- will stay in low elo longer...

That literally encourages smurfing, and punishes regular players. Compounded by the fact that you don't actually play against people_** the same rank as you**_ (gold teammates 3-5 vs plat 1-3 enemy team because of "MMR") then you are outright admitting you not only enforce this design, you are actively undermining the player experience. I can suffer a lot. I can suffer imbalance, and stupidity, and overtly toxic game designs, fine we have 10 bans, I suffer it. This we cannot endure.

You just admitted you actively try to prevent players from earning the rank they deserve as if that made sense to you as a logical solution to a problem that doesn't exist. You have no ear to the ground, you have no thumb on the pulse of the playerbase - you are truly clueless.

Your company has attacked your own streamers, professionals, orgs, women, on air talent, and you have the gall to make indefensible statements like this while also simultaneously making condescending remarks to the top portions of your playerbase - players who, if I had to guess, have MILLENNIA of combined gaming experience, shit on your 200+. Get bent.

There's so much failure of logic and fact in this post that I don't even know where to start.

If Riot said the opposite and gave ranks faster? People would be bitching about it. If Riot left things alone people would be Bitching about it.

If it works and smurfing decreases that's good. If it does not work and its proven to be negative to the game then it should be scrapped. That's logical yes?

So basically this thread is a bunch of people that think matchmaking does anything based on rank and failing to understand what mmr is? Ok.

I love how 200+ years experience has become a meme people toss out to bash riot... When riot ends up being right every time. Maybe the 200+ years experience is better than the 0 years experience armchair keyboard warriors.

You don't understand the changes. Your MMR is still the same as it was last season. All it does is give you less LP so you climb to your real rank slower. Basically it only hurts your ego and ego smurfs.

I think the MMR and LP concept is too hard for some people to grasp.

just stop being trash at the game. season has just started. you'll climb just fine if you're actually meant to.

No. They will stay in low Rank longer. They will get to a high MMR ("elo") just as fast as before. This means they'll spend a lot more time playing, say, against high Plat players while still having a Gold rank or something.

please ignore the people in here who literally scour the board for posts like this just so they can say "get good" in the comments. this community is 90% garbage but your feelings are still valid

How many non-smurfs do you think are actually going to be significantly impacted by LP gains per win being capped at 30?

Cause that is the change that was specifically being complained about.

no matter how you look at it, its a huge failure. even for the smurfs that do want to climb. it just takes them longer thus they are playing EVEN MORE low elo games and ruin them.

its just riot man
