Ranged Top laners

Is anybody else experiencing this plague since the preseason dropped? No seriously somewhere between 15-25 games of top lane (not consecutively albeit) and every single one has been against a ranged character. It is getting extremely frustrating, not because they're actually difficult, but because it is BEYOND boring to lane against one as a melee. It comes down to either "Hey you showed in lane again, lemme kill you in like 3 hits" (If you're winning) Or "Hey Its me, the cancer of the universe again, guess you have to stay under tower and do nothing for ten minutes while I freeze this wave and knock off 3/4ths of your health for daring to exist. (If you're losing)

I do not understand how this playstyle is fun for people. It is so monotonous, I don't think I've ever had a more boring time in top lane in my entire life.

Like, I was fine with it last season because it was the exception. You didn't have to deal with it all the time unless you were extremely unlucky, but now it appears to have become the rule and its making toplane more boring than a botlane that has pure peel supports on both sides.

So the point of this discussion is. Am I getting extremely unlucky? Or are other toplane mains ALSO experiencing the most powerful sleeping aide to date?
