Perhaps they are new to the role or want to help fit the team comp but have a weak knowledge of what makes a team comp. There are plenty of good reasons to ask other people for advice, especially since there are 4 other people there who want to make sure you do well.
When I ask "Should I play Rek'Sai, Kha'Zix or Vi", I for one would like an answer other than that.
But...If they do ask "who's a good jungler, who should I play", always respond with 
. Almost everyone owns him, he's a relatively easy jungler, and a strong champion.
