Is It Okay To Not Finish My First Item?

I have this build... It requires exactly 6 items for it to be effective. 5 of those 6 items are going to be sub parts of the actual (6th one being 2nd tier boots) finalized item. I need the unique passive stats each of those 6 items give me for my build to be effective. The cost of getting all of those items is 6300, which I can make around 20 min. Now the question is...is it accepted to build like this? I get games where people complain that "I haven't even finish my first item", even if I do good or bad, people like to argue that reasoning.

What are your thoughts about this? Is it smart to make the build if I need the stats for it to be effective, or should I focus on one item at a time even if I won't ever be able to pull off what I need to do?

The Build: Stinger, Fiendish Codex, Bami's Cinder, Kindlegem, Ninja Tab, Negatron Cloak

The Idea: I will get the attack speed + 20% cdr + ap for ult / q with Stinger and Fiendish Codex Bami's Cinder will give me HP + Wave Clear Potential Kindlegem Will give me 10% cdr = 40% cdr with transcendence (lvl 10 at 20 min~) Ninja Tab for the amazing Armor stats Negatron For Magic Resist + wits end build path

Final Build: Nashor's Tooth, Sunfire Cape, Warmongs, Wits End, Ninja Tab, Wits End

This build is for Shen, is experimental atm.

Theres a pretty good chance that what you're doing isn't optimal since you'd be missing out on various passive effects, and probably not necessarily even being gold efficient. That said, you're free to build whatever you want.

Hard to specifically address it without knowing what build you think gives you the stats to be 'effective', but I don't know of any builds that have multiple incomplete items at once (theres a few that might sit on say, item 3916 since they only care about the pen and not the full item effect and a couple similar cases, but that's a single partial item), much less a full inventory of partials.

Sorry about that, I updated my description.

In general finished items are incredibly gold efficient, I'm not sure sure about your specific scenario but I would be surprised if it were better than finishing items. The only time I can really see it being a great idea is on Kai'sa because of her conditional evolutions. Getting your Q upgraded is such a huge spike in damage it makes sense to prioritize over finishing your first item.

Wit's end is not an item you should include by default in any build.

Sure, it can be exchanged with another MR item if needed , or Armor, it's an experimental build like i said.
