Why do I lose LP fr games where someone has quit/afks/ or trolls?

THE LAST TWO GAMES I'VE HAD SOMEONE WHO WAS AFK. WHY DO I LOSE LP FOR THESE GAMES?? Like I just lost over 30 lp for this.... How am I supposed to get our of silver if I have some afk every game. Can't you like do something about this? Or at least not make me lose the whole amount of lp. Maybe like half the amount I was supposed to lose? Trying to win 4v5s is already pretty hard but when someone is just negative the whole game and then just quits it feels impossible. Like I feel like people still afk/quit all the time but don't get punished for it at all.

the justification i've seen in the past is that it balances out eventually, because theoretically people on the other team will leave/afk/feed/etc just as often (or more often, since there's 5 instead of 4..)

honestly, it really sucks when it happens in a streak.. i suggest just playing a few ranked games a day and if you feel stressed just play arams or normals, it really helps.

Okay let me set the record straight, the reason people lose lp for games with afk troll ect. is because it happens to everyone, every once in a while and no you dont get 1 every game! Plus if you want to get out of silver i would suggest not blaming teammates and just only focus on your game play trying to improve your own game play is the best way to climb because by making yourself better you can get kills and either making someone tilt on the other team or even make your team more confident in the win. Never play solo/dynamic queue to critique others play or builds, because you are all the same rank and no matter how you got there (unless boost ect.) you all got there somehow. Also i think that whatever rank you are, you deserve because if you want to climb and get with actually good players and not just scrubs you have to not be a scrub also!! hopefully this helps add me in game if you would like to talk some more - Monsterchewbacca

I came searching for this topic because I just lost 2 games in my series promotion to gold, and now I have to start over. It really wouldn't be so hard to consider these games differently. And as a support main, I can't simply carry myself to victory, I have to have a good team. A good support does not make a bad team good.
