Riven as a champion is fundamentally broken. She has 4 gap closers, a stun, a scaling ad shield, and a execute ult that increases her ad on all abilities thats also multiplied by her passive. I am a grandmaster garen main and even though my champion is supposedto counter her, it feels very bad to play against. Whenever i q she stuns shields and then i just do nothing. Riven has a 56% winrate rn on op.gg why the hell is a “skill intensive” champion have such a high winrate. Not even countig the riven mains who have nearly a 59% winrate and up. Now being a really good player on you champion is fine. You ARE supposed to be better at that champ than others and therefore get rewarded at it, but the fact that riven has an avg of 56% wr for nonmains shows how disgustingly over powered she is. Her top three counters is kennen, gnar, and volibear. Think about that. The only things that beat riven is two range champs that can kite and a cheese pick just to counter one champ. Even if given the dog matchup of those characters ahe can still easily outlane it. No bruiser has above a 50% winrate when laning against her. Literally you go even with her unless she fucks up, but fucking up can haplen on any champ so idk seems unfair. Please nerf riven!

Now i agree Riven is strong, however it is because of the runes and her itemization not the champion itself. She needs something done whether it be direct or indirect. Garen actually doesn't counter Riven and hasn't for a good while... The "counter" is being able to annoy her from his silence and maybe make her q time out and force it on cd.

I did not read the rest. You picked a braindead champion to climb with which is easier in low elos and harder in high elos. Those who picked skill-based champion like Riven struggled in low elos, however, after they mastered it, they can outplay braindead champions like Garen in high elos. It is almost the same as early game champions vs late game champions.
