Regarding the new Athene's Unholy Grail and Galio (A concerned Galio player, one of four.)

Hey there, Onwodori here.

Whenever MR items change, I can feel a nervous twitch in the back of my mind -- will this propel Galio into the public eye as a clear sleeper OP or will he actually crumble and become terrible?

Currently, I'm not sure what this will do for him.

Whenever or not Athene's falls off as a first item and I'll want to build RoA as a first item again hinges on it's new ability:

PASSIVE: Gain a portion of damage dealt to champions as blood charges. Healing or shielding another ally consumes blood charges to heal them for the amount stored.

Will Galio's W, which is an *Armor and MR buff and NOT a shield, count and heal them? If so -- lovely.

Anyways. Hopefully one of the other three Galio players will respond.

As another concerned Galio player I was just hoping I missed seeing the little green numbers, but sadly it doesn't appear that the w doesn't heal from Unholy. W must then be classified as a buff instead of a shield when applied to others.

I just played Galio on ARAM, and I was wondering how Athene's works. I built it mainly because of the mana regen, because I wasn't sure what the passive does to Galio. Anyhow, with full blood charges, I shielded a low health ally and no charges were consumed (ally wasn't being attacked at that pont). But then later that match, I noticed my charges had dropped 67. So apparently, it does work, but I'm not sure how. I have a feeling it procs on Galio instead of on the allies, because I was healing insanely much, more than I normally would, when I placed my shield on others. I haven't tested it and don't have time to look into it more and test it, but I can say for sure that it doesn't work like the description. If any of you know more about this, keep us updated!
