Experimented with a Syndra build...

So, I was watching a pro player (King of Burst) play Syndra He always does very well, but I noticed he builds Syndra in a weird way. His first back he gets a item 1056 , and his 2nd back usually item 3070 and item 1001. Then he gets a item 3010 into item 3027 and upgrades his boots to item 3158. After that, he finishes his item 3003 into item 3040. Then his 4th item is item 3165. Next he builds a item 3089 and finishes with a item 3285.

I actually played a few games with this build and completely wrecked face with it. I had absolutely NO mana issues, ever, (didn't even need blue buff) and ended with well over 1k AP with Baron and item 2139 . The only thing I did differently, is substitute item 3285 with item 3135 at the end. With my runes and masteries I hit max CDR. Honestly, this was very fun. With the exclusion of item 3116 , and item 3001 or item 3157, it does demand safer play, but hey, all Mages, especially Syndra, is meant to blow shit up from afar. I'm still working on tweaks, but overall, I think I'm going to stick with this build for a while. I recommend everyone that plays Syndra try it! It's so much fun. Basically it's Max CDR with consistent DPS and almost no mana problems at any stage of the game. I guess I'm ranting, but hey, it's a very fun build to play around with. Lemme know what you guys think!

Oh, if you want to see this build in action, just look up King of Burst on YouTube. Cheers!

I think I don't like syndra, so I will not try but good luck anyway. I doubt if she needs that mana soo much that you have to build tear, it slows her down and in late game you still have infinity mana and great power even without this item and with for example classic rylai.

Yeah, the infinite mana isnt a necessity at all, but its very nice to have all of that sustain at all stages of the game. I always seem to have mana issues, maybe I just spam too much. I'll probably not use this as a core build, but its fun to try something different. Thanks for the good luck!

That's kinda more a general thing. Building tear and roa wlll lead to giving the most AP out of any build, but you trade off your early game for it. On syndra this might not be such a big deal, but on most champions barring specific few (who normally build tear anyway) it either delays more crucial items, or takes too long. Eg: Azir would LOVE to go this build, but delaying his Rylais that long wouldn't be worth it LB would certainly enjoy a higher AP count, but without the early snowball it'd actually make her job harder than easier.

That's not to say you cannot play around it, but the handicap is there, and especially given the current meta, it's not normally something people would readily give up.

Yeah, I feel like Syndra has enough burst to where she can play around a little more than other champs. I do plan on tweaking a little bit more with this build. Thanks for the feedback!
