I really wish Riot would bring back the stealth and pink wards. I hate the control ward! >:( What do you guys think? I wanna hear your opinions if you agree or disagree.

I like new control wards, makes objective control in jungle easier.

But still hate how they fck up vision every year. I guess in Season 8 you will have maximum of 1 stealth and 1 control ward with sightstone carrying 2 wards.

Because less wasrs = less vision = better chance for confrontation = better chance for more kills = better kill score = more exciting games = better LCS view counts = MORE MONEY.

Worst part about control wards is, that they don't always reveal stuff in the dragon pit, you place it, you see them dropping a ward inside from the other side, but then it just turns invis like you didn't spend 75 gold on that shitty ward.

Yeah the range on the disable is pretty shit. I've been putting control wards down on the back of baron/dragon to ensure they tag enemy wards that come over the wall. But that spot is also in range of auto attacks from anything ranged. :(

Exactly, it has 100 unit shorter range than the pink has, but that's just enough to screw it up.

Maybe we should start letting certain abilities actually give vision (a la DotA2) so people can do something to make up for lackluster ward coverage.

That's also only 3 champions of, how many? In DotA2 I can use these champions' various abilities to scout in some manner: Beastmaster bird and boar; Clockwerk missile; Elder Titan spirit; Lycan wolves; Night Stalker with Aghs; Slardar for marked heroes; Treant Protector with Aghs turns trees into wards; Bloodseeker with low hp heroes; Bounty Hunter for marked heroes; Broodmother can scout with spiderlings; Lone Druid's bear can scout ahead; Mirana arrow; Sniper Shrapnel gives vision over the area it's hitting; Tempar Assassin's traps, Terrorblade can scout with illusions; Vengeful Spirit can scout with Wave of Terror; Venomancer has Plague Wards; Ancient Apparition can use his global ult to attempt to scout (fairly short cooldown); Chen and Enchantress can scout via jungle creeps; Keeper of the Light with Aghs; Nature's Prophet can scout with treants; Puck can scout with Illusory Orb; Shadow Demon can scout with Shadow Poison; Windranger has a 2700 range Powershot that gives vision along its flight path to scout; Zeus W can be used to scout with the flying/true vision, and his ult shows the location of all enemies - including lighting up where stealthed enemies are even though it won't damage them.

Special mention: for stealth, which Riki, Clinkz, Bounty Hunter, Broodmother, Mirana, Treant Protector, Nyx Assassin, Weaver, and Invoker have baseline in their kits; Disruptor's Thunder Strike marks an enemy and can't be disjointed, providing vision on them against a hero that can recall them back on a spell with a caste range of 1800; Storm Spirit, Monkey King, Batrider, and Winter Wyvern can all give themselves Flying Vision; and stealth can be purchased by anyone via Glimmer Cape (more for escape or for doing something uninterrupted in a fight), or Shadow Blade/Silver Edge; and Helm of the Dominator can give everyone creeps that can act on their behalf if they're so inclined.

So yes, maybe League should, in fact, give more ways for champions to give themselves some vision control since they're not going to allow wards to do any S2-esque heavy lifting? Treant can light up the entire map like a Christmas tree given enough time and this is the most wards League will let you have?

Which actually led to less exciting LCS games. Less vision meant people were too afraid of getting picked off. So they would just play passive for the first 35 mins of the game, and then one teamfight would decide the game.

the only change I really want is for sweepling lenses or oracles alteration to ACTUALLY show enemies instead of showing some red figure you can't even select.

Not only select, but the delay is so big, it basically tells you "there are somewhere on the screen".

I think it was the best solution. Reveal the enemy while not completely ruining mechanics like bushes or stealth.

I miss the old trinkets item 3361 item 3362 , and I miss the vision wards item 3649 , but Pink Wards? Nah, control wards are pink wards that got buffed and lost nothing for it. The changes to stealth would have had them ignore pink wards as well, but Control Wards shut down enemy vision, not just reveal it.

I don't understand why their initial goal of stealth rework was to add counter play, then they removed the item that let's us counter stealth.

I think it was because supports had to have one slot reserved for pink wards and Champions like Shaco and Eve was an investment for the enemy team to buy pinks and was free gold for the opposing team to take the pinks.

No, they use camouflage, not stealth. They can be seen by regular wards and control wards. The red sweeping wards do show you where invisible enemies are, but they still remain unintargetable.

but the fact everything that detects also disables is bullshit. I'm fine with you spending money to know where my shit is, I'm somewhat ok with you being able to know where it is for free, item 3364 . But I dislike the fact that you can just step on them and it doesn't do anything. It means theres no counter play to your counter play, i can't put a shroom on top of you, i can't force you to walk into/around them by fighting you while you know where they are. I just have to accept that you have a hard counter no matter what champion you are and if i can't kill you without use of shrooms at all then i can't prevent you from killing them.

I would like Control wards to disable, but not sweeping. i would prefer sweepings to actually reveal all stealth for sake of disabling traps.

Being able to expend Gold for vision was a really good option, I'd still be using Green wards even if they upped the price.

Apparently the reason for doing this and nerfing trinkets was because of Vision Wars, which really wasn't as bad as they said it was; It actually gave more responsibility and influence to the support role. And Riot nerfed Sightstone by one charge at the same time too, why? Why did they do that?

I'd be fine with control wards if they actually felt like they did more than cancel other wards. I ward bot river bush against an Eve, but if she hugs the wall she's out of range, so it really sucks that that ward is just permanent vision that can't even help against camo enemies when it's supposed to.

Don't ward in the bush, ward closer to where the skuttlecrab ward would normally be, and closer to the center of river horizontally. Vision in the bush is meaningless unless you plan on fighting near it as opposed to in the lane during the gank.

Because in bronze you're better off with offensive stats to shitstomp the enemy. Chances are, you'll be the only one looking at the wards you placed on the minimap

As an Akali main pre rework I like that the 75g hard counter is gone. Post changes I still love playing her but she's still countered by so many and tbh why play akali when Diana does everything better.
