Would it be net positive or negative if Promote minion chased champions fighting nearby?

Suppose it has the following priorities against any champion within 2000 range:

1 -> Chase and attack the target the user attacks. 2 -> Chase and attack the target attacking the user. 3. -> Chase and attack the target a none user ally attacks. 4. -> Chase and attack the target attacking a none user ally. 5. -> If no champion within 2000 range, return to the nearest lane and start marching to the enemy base like a good little minion.

Do they actually do damage though? I love Banner, but it is mostly for pushing lane/having minion immune to magic right? I haven't noticed its damage.

Probably a negative.

Promoted minions behave like normal, so they'll still attack enemy champs attacking an ally champion nearby so they already do some of that stuff to a degree, but often the idea with promoted minions is for them to go off and push a lane while the user applies pressure elsewhere, rather than to be a personal pet. In that regard the promoted minion can apply pressure as a sortof minion 6th champion, but if it's more closely tied to the user, then it might get distracted from doing that job.
