If a teammate gets auto filled, is there anything you can do to help him out?

Especially if nobody on your team, including you can swap with that guy. Basically, I had a game where I supported a mid lane main auto filled to ADC. I got him fed early game, but as soon as team fight started:

  1. He died really easy due to his positioning.
  2. Could barely get much damage in during team fights compared to an ADC main.

We happened to have a 0/10 renekton, so other people contributed to the loss of the game too, but I just wished I was smart enough to know what to do to help when something like this happens.

From your experience, what would you do and what could you do to help, whenever you have a teammate that was auto filled. Not just in this situations?

As a support main, i'd do my best to help him in lane... attempt to make sure he doesn't fall too far behind if he does... but as the game progresses i'd see whose doing the best and mainly focus on said person doing the best.

Best you can do is communicate and see what you can get done.

Few games ago my adc was autofilled and he was struggling so i let him know what the game plan was, he accepted it... luckily our mid was doing fantastic so i focused on keeping him alive more than the adc.
