Lane Nidalee discussion

I'm going to post some ideas I've seen around about how to help nidalee so that she can lane again. Also I want to say I'm not asking for jungle nidalee to be removed I know some people may assume that so I want to get it out of the way at the start. And I don't want everyone to think I'm asking for her to be buffed so she's some op meta 100% pick/ban champ. I'd just really like to see her back in a similar state that she was in the past.

I'll start with simpler ideas and then get into some more complex ones.

1. Reducing her mana costs and her cougar form CDs. Reducing her mana cost is a change that will have very little impact on jungle nidalee due to her never running low on mana in the jungle any due to blue and runic echo. Reducing her cool downs is another thing that won't have a huge impact on her jungling as she mostly does a rotation any way and even with a 1 second reduction she'd still be waiting to use her abilities any way and she resets pounce to clear the jungle optimally anyway. Another way to go aobut reducing her cool downs is to reduce them as she puts points into R. Jungle nidalee doesn't have much of a late game any way so it shouldn't impact her to hard this way either.

2. Make her traps not proc on lane minions. This way she has a more reliable way to trade in lane.

3. Let her javelin toss refund mana when she kills a minions. This won't do a lot for her but it would help her at least farm safely this with some other changes could however put her in a good spot.

4. Reverting her spear speed and cast time. This would be a buff to jungle nidalee but even now jungle nidalee isn't that strong even in the hands of high elo nidalee mains. This is change that could go a very long way to letting her lane again. Currently enemies just have so much time to react to a spear and it's very hard to throw spears in between minion movement like she used to be able to.

5. If the above change really does prove to make jungle nidalee too op you could adjust her power so that her spears are weaker but put that power in her cougar form whether that be buffing takedowns damage or adding a damage bonus to swipe on hunted targets. This would still give enemy champions the chance to react to a nidalee engage.

6. Reverting her nerfs (spear speed,cast time, auto resets) and reducing her damage to monsters. In addition make jungle camps have different hunt effects than champions. Her clear would be slower and shift her from such a massive power farming jungle to more of a skirmishing/invade jungle. This also fits in line with her theme of being a huntress.

7. This last one is one of the more complex things I've seen someone come up with. The idea is similar to kayn/kha'zix or even the kayle rework. Depending on whether you are lane or jungle nidalee you could select a change that would modify her kit a little bit they called it "Adapting". You could make it so you choose at the start of the match which playstyle you are going for or even give her some type of condition to meet to change her keep to be more focused towards lane. This would create two clear ways to easily balance out lane nid vs jungle nid.

These are all the changes I can think of off the top of my head I'll add more as I come across them or as I think of my own.
