Getting kinda tired of banning garen

I dont hate garen. Hes one of my most played champs on every account. But he is far too strong at the moment. If you know what you are doing, garen has little to no bad match ups. He probably does way too much damage at every stage in the game. Its not healthy to build full tank but then also have the ability to 100-0 anyone that isnt a tank. And hes fast as all fuck so he can often just run away if the fight isnt really going his way. They should probably rip a lot of damage away but then buff his bonus ad ratios if people still want to play triforce bullshit garen. You should have to choose between tank or nuke

not really. he's pretty easy to beat, coming from a garen main.

If you know what you are doing, garen has little to no bad match ups.

I can think of quite a few bad matchups, including plenty of people who know how to harass and kite him enough during laning phase to pretty much nullify his passive.

He's a juggernaut. he is supposed to be able to deal heavy damage and be tanky.

And hes fast as all fuck so he can often just run away if the fight isnt really going his way.

he has one movement ability that just requires a simple slow after its cast to be nullified.

try kiting him. try playing someone like darius into him. try poking him consistently.

he's not that strong...

Well don't ban him then, just play someone who is strong into him. Looks like you mainly jg on this account so don't ban him and if the enemy has him just spam gank he has no disengage to hard cc, so play someone like Jax, noc, or trynd and just out scale him with %health damage and strong early ganks

if youre getting tired of banning him, why dont you put in the time and learn how to play against him? if youre playing him yourself, then you must have learned from his bad matchups that he indeed does have.

if you just ban him out every single game, then youre not going to learn.

statistically speaking garen is fine. maybe even just slightly on the weak side around diamond and upwards.

he is a juggernaut.

if hes wrecking squishy ranged carries and assassins in melee, then hes working as intended.

otherwise, he loses most extended fights against non villain fighters, and even tanks early on. he eventually outscales the tanks, but not the fighters.

Garen Mains defending a blatantly overpowered champion: classic.

Because it's very fair to watch a Garen win the game with one item that he gets from one kill.

"He has no disengage!" It's called pressing Q and W; but sure, you can stun him, no Garen-tee you'll kill him though.

"Kite him" This nonsensical myth is ridiculous. Unless you're playing Cait top, he will see you are trying to poke him and Q W E on your ass. The only champions I can think of being able to kinda do it safely are Quinn and Teemo. Besides, you're suggesting playing a Ranged Champion top, which will neuter your team because = no tank. Unless you wanna play Gnar.

"Play something that beats him!" And why? Why is playing one champion such a damn crime in this game? In my case, it's a small selection of champions. I'd rather be really good at a few champions than mediocre on a lot of them. There should be a way to itemize against a Juggernaut, not just "counter-pick him" - leave that shit to the LCS. By having some way to itemize against Garen, you can at least reduce the disadvantage you have and remain viable for your team (the same treatment Garen gets from being himself).

Garen rewards people who don't want to think too much and yeah, he's a beginner champion, but everything in his kit is so fool-proof and requires a lot more from the opponent than it should. If you wanna main Garen that's fine, but you can't just sit here and tell me the concept of a Juggernaut is fair or that his "wait 3s to heal all your damage back" passive is very fair.

I agree, every champ has a bad matchup, but very few champions can still be viable (even in a bad matchup) like Garen can.
