@Jungler Mains

Okay so now that I've managed to go on a lovely losing streak I thought maybe its time I addressed some of the issues I have when playing ranked as a jungler. I consider myself to be a mid/jungle main, but I always get JG in DQ.

  1. Please tell me if my approach to jungling/ganking with the champions in my pool is right or if I'm doing it wrong. I know my pool is small, but I'm going for quality not quantity. Diana - I pick Diana if I feel we have enough tanks - I tell my team to not expect ganks until I hit 6 so I can just abuse Diana's ult CD. Sejuani -Contrary to Diana, I pick Sejuani if we need a solid tank. Since her nerfs, Sej's waveclear isn't as fast as I'd like to be and I build her full tank so I don't offer much damage to ganks besides her CC. Because of her low damage I'm afraid I might be wasting time with a gank if a laner can't do all the damage needed to secure the kill. I sometimes find myself waiting for 6. Kindred - I start W,Q, then E. I always try to start on the opposite side of my top laner, so that by the time I'm done clearing camps I've hit level 3 so I can immediately try to hit top lane for a gank. Also, I've noticed that Kindred's first mark is always the scuttle that's on the opposite side of the map from her. I feel like I can never contest it if the enemy is there because they have higher HP than me and I sometimes die. Most of the time my nearby laners don't even think to roam for the easy kill and to help me secure it, so I've given up trying to get it if I see the enemy. I'm not dying over a mark anymore. Ekko -My only question is should I go cinderhulk or runeglaive? I build full tank regardless because it's still OP despite recent nerfs. Vision permitting, I can normally get a gank off around lvl 3-5...

  2. Vision item 3340 -If a lane isn't willing to ward as much as they ideally should, or give me enough information about enemy vision then what should I do? I typically will try to smite raptors on my way to the lane I want to gank and have a pink ready. (I** always** buy a pink every time I back even if I have one already placed.) If I have to always approach the lane and have to go through the trouble of using my own resources to clear out vision its already to late to gank, and its a waste of my time. But what other option is there for a lane that is struggling and lacks vision? Laners will RAGE at me in chat when I don't visit their lane enough, and my response is because they have absolutely no vision. How do most jungler's deal with this sort of stupidity? Do I really have ward YOUR lane to set up for a gank YOU demand for?

  3. K/D/A (I suppose this is not related to jungling, but related to game play in general). -This is only a problem when I lose because no one cares about my KDA if we win. When I play League of Legends, my goal is to win the game. If I go 0/3/15 and win, I don't care. A win is a win. I don't need to have an awesome KDA to brag about. I just want to win. Whenever I seem to lose people will say stuff like, "Useless JG/MID with crap KDA, pls kill urself k thx bai". Please tell me if I'm wrong, but my approach to League was that its a game of 2 teams vying for the distribution of scarce resources (cs/jg camps/buffs/drag/baron) and not necessarily about KDA. The goal of the league is to NOT die (right?), so why are people so mad if I'm not as willing to commit suicide with them in a team fight I don't think we can win?

For example: Last night it was MeKindred Leblanc Caitlyn Irelia (support irellia?!)Swain VS Sona Lux Malphite Corki Gragas Looking at the team comps who in the right mind would fight a team that can wombo-combo sona/malphite/grag ults and have lux single-target deletion and corki for follow up? I wasn't refusing to team fight with my team, but in my right mind I knew it was a stupid idea becuase we had no hard cc/peel. We could've maybe won the game, but team fights wasn't going to be the way. My team keeps committing suicide in 5v5 and when we lose people are trashing my KDA. What am I supposed to do?!?!?!?!

TL;DR : I know the game is PvP orientated and PvP must be done when needed, by I thought this game was more about securing the scarce amounts of resources and objectives it has for us to vie over with the other team.

I feel good about where I am in the game right now. I got out of Silver V and had a insane winning streak and hit promos for Silver III in the same day. I didn't win because I got an afk 1 game and the next game I had a top Nasus who rushed item 3174 first and had 60 CS by 15 min mark, and I've gone on my losing streak since then. Despite that I'm more concerned right now in addressing these issues I keep noticing in my game play. I'm trying to go for some consistency here.

Sorry for the wall of text, thanks guys <3

You shouldve played a tank and bought every single mr item against that team. Why would you play kindred against a hard cc team? And why is Kindred and Ekko not banned? Also you can go runeglaive over cinderhulk when you're snowballing because runeglaive is insane early on even on sejuani. You can just go sunfire or sell runeglaive for cinderhulk late game if you have full build

I also and a mid/jungle I find for jungle voli and reksai are easier to play than others. And in ranked neer count on good teammates so play bruisers or zed/fizz jungle
