Almost impossible to get ranks. RNG Matchmaking.
So i tried playing with some friends of mine and well that kind of proved to be a mistake because when i played with these friends we lost pretty much every single one of my placement matches. and lost over things like, Not getting dragons even when i am reminding them. or my personal favorite, not defending inhib and instead going to help fizz fight aatrox in the jungle. you know all those nice things. So im back at bronze V another year and I have a lot of basic knowledge of the game, such as timing, cs,ccs positioning pretty much everything a person needs to know to play a decent normal pvp game. But for some reason when i go into ranked i get matched on a team with people who act like they literally havent played a game before. I know you all have heard it before but one of the placement matches i played was against a really strong team mean while my team had an assassin yi and a mumu mid. I swear that the yi and mumu were duos and the were also between the ages of 8-12 just based off their typing, lack of typing and when they did type it was pure randomness followed by 'pls surrender' pls pls pls pls' also one of the guys name ended with a birth year so yeah confirmed.
Although i was playing that match with 2 other friends which should of been a majority to come back and carry the team they couldnt do anything ether. One of these friends was a silver which idk how at this point seeing them play. I also have another friend give me the worst possible advice. shes silver but she plays a game with a lot of diamond players and seems to think she has diamond elo because her friends have diamond elo and when they carry her in normals her elo got to a diamond level. (yeah i know thats not how it works but she seems to think so) Her advice was "there are no bad teams you cant blame your team its never your teams fault" This advice is coming from someone who gets carried in normals and coached to silver by diamond players.
Now let me tell you exactly why thats bullcrap. it sounds like sweet innocent advice but tis really not. Lets say you are literally the best at dodging skill shots, you have a skill to bait out skillshots and then dodge them thats not going to matter if the rest of your team cant do the same thing.
Basically i have a theory about bronze. The theory is the games are basically RNG. (whaaat how are bronze games rng) I say they are RNG because i decided to look at the people who i am losing against the teams i am losing against and the pattern i notice in every single circumstance is most people just get lucky to have a team from what i could tell and see in bronze there will be 1 good player and (about 3 decent players that can actually get dragons and cs.) that one good player will always carry the team. Some people for some reason have luck that will pretty much consistently be put on a team with that 1 good player. I have witnessed match histories over other players and notice that hey they arent much better than me but ohh look for some reason for the last 8/10 games they last played they just happened to get a guy that went 15/1 and 2 other players that have decent CS and builds and could presumably dodge skill shots.
There is just no getting out of bronze if you have bad luck and its almost entirely based on the team you get. If your team cant capitize on dragons, you lose, if your team decides to not defend inhibs you lose, if your team decides to all recall at once to stop a single spit pusher even though you ensure them that youll stop said split pusher please stay in lane and push the rest of their team is dead stay here and push please. and they dont, well you just lose. If your team decides to not engage with you after the enemy team makes the mistake of pulling a dairus right to their ADC you lose. Its rng and you can pretty much tell with in the first minute and a half how the rest of teh game will play out. and im pretty much at an impasse here I could ether play with the friends who leave a jungle tank to guard an inhib while they decide to quite literally act as a meat shield for aatrox do no damage to him and almost die, or leave that spot open for people with the name zombiekiller2003 who cant play a single role and roam around aimlessly like its COD TDM.
Only thing i can do is cross my fingers for those extra decent teammates, i mean going solo queue might actually be better considering i could have a higher chance to maybe just maybe get the 1 god like and 3 decents.
The best evidence to my theory that bronze is RNG is the fact that you cant actually find any real in depth skill guides. Like from what i've seen so far you just cant. and if you do find skill guides that pretty much just gives you hindsight advice, such as "CS" "Have good positioning" "make sure you build to counter". This is stuff i already do and have been doing. Now on the other hand my friends dont do it. people i play with will still be building ninja tabi when the other team is full ap. Any advice i can find is pretty much any advice that would be given on hearthstone. "trade good" (yeah no sh** i was considering trading my 10/1 into a 6/2 rather than my with me 2/3 till you said something) "Know what deck your opponent is playing"
Basically any advice that can be given is "get dragon" "farm cs" "ward your areas" Which even that only gets you so far even if you've been doing it for years (like me). I mean being at a level in ranked like this where the best advice you can give someone is to farm cs and everything will be okay then theres a problem especially if you know all this stuff, its basically heavily implying that bronze is baby mode, this is for people who quite literally cant play the game, this tier is for people that mistakenly played ranked rather than normal when they are still learning basics and not learning how to prefect the basics but still even understanding the basic concept and the ground work for the basic mechanics of the game.
The last time i played ranked really really hard, i went solo queue and was starting to dominate I went from V to III and was almost to 2 until the same patch nerfed all my favorite champions, Vi, draven (draven still had his bleed, i even had a 90% win rate with Vi because i was the guy that went 17/2) and others and then i quit. Now im back and its just the same thing but maybe a lot less worse because there is a lot less toxic people.
But basically Bronze is RNG if you arent picking a champion to go 15+ on. Which is kind of BS but w/e i guess and if the game randomally decides it wants to put you on a team of people that cant do even the basics of the game and make the other team up of people who sort of have a basic idea of what they are doing well then thats just how it is. its RNG. Luck
