Jungling Questions

Jad··2 votes·575 views

I've played a few games lately that have left me with some questions about how I could've played certain scenarios better. One of these scenarios was when the enemy jungler was very agressive in my jungle (looking for kills not just farm) and bot lane. This happened a few games ago and it completely threw me off which lead to me getting way behind in farm/items. How do I deal with this happening? Also how do I come back after I am behind? Any tips/tricks are appreciated as I'm looking to improve! The jungle is way more elaborate than I originally thought it to be a few months ago! <3

Oh and if you have any good and informative jungle streamers/youtubers that would help too!

As a jungler literally just ward your shit constantly farm until the enemy looks pushed basically. People over extend constantly and its free kills. You want to have really good map awareness and game sense like lets say im rek sai and they have rengar. Im going to constantly gank/ try to fight him early since rek sai smashes rengar early. If you just go to the right places and dont mess up mechanically that makes a good jungler since you can get stuff done. Also be as efficient as possible constantly farming and dont force plays without knowing all the information and what could happen. I personally just walk around kill people and get super fed then just play smart with the team.

Yea I see what you by "the right places at the right time". This is something I have trouble with a bit. Any tips on prioritizing lanes/objectives?

common sense really lol. If a lane is winning hard you can dive if the lanes pushing you can gank if you know where the jungler is counter gank. Objectives get only if free. Dont take 50/50 chances.

As for your certain scenario, I tend to trade jungles. If i know he is in my red side, I'll go to his, and I'll tkae everything. Usually followed up by a gank behind one of the lanes. Here lately I play Volibear and I find it easy to dive turrets early to help my bot lane or top lane get ahead.

Ah ok I gotcha! Would it also be a good idea to try and even out the pressure a bit? By that I mean like if he is camping bot then I would gank top a lot to try and get him off of bot? Or is there a better way of doing this?

You apply pressure whereever you go. The main thing I think about is, Can I fight him? If I can, I will prep to counter gank his gank on bot. If not then yes I would look to mid to get them steamrolling. Very few top champions would actually get a camp from me. Mostly since that should be a tank line.

I think that if hes looking for a kill just stand back and tell your teammates to do the same. If he gets low then start hitting him.

If the enemy starts going into your jungle, ward. Ward ward ward ward ward. Enemy shaco? You and your lanes need to ward your entrances, especially if youre an off meta fun jungler like Akali. Also, tell your lanes to push out from tower if theyre able to, since its harder for a jungler to invade you if their lanes arent pushed to your tower (your lanes cant rotate easily if theyre under tower, or if they do theyll miss farm/possibly lose objective, and their own laners are closer to assist and support them).

Also of note; if youre behind now in the jungle, you catch up faster. Give up what you need to and take what you can. The few you can get will quickly scale up to get you back into the game (at least level wise).

Yea that makes sense. I tried to ward as much as I could but my team wouldn't really cooperate with me. Like I would know the enemy was in my jungle but they refused to help, even if their lane wasn't pushed at the moment.
