The only two things I want to hear about new runes in the next 2-3 months
I know I am a bit late to the party on this, but I just wanted to get this out there.

If anything is said about these runes in the next 2-3 months I want to hear that Riot understands how big of a change this is and that they are not going to treat it like every other change. I want to hear that the new runes are going to be on the PBE as early as the start of worlds. I want to hear that the ranked season is going to end a bit earlier to allow new runes to hit live so they can be tested and experienced first hand by as many people as possible. Finally I want to hear that Riot will consider reverting to the old system should this be met with a large(larger than plants) amount of disapproval from players, as late as mid season 8.

I understand this is slightly less likely, but The only other thing I want to hear from Riot about new Runes in the next 2-3 months is that they are ready to ship the new rune system to the PBE and the people in charge of changing and balancing new runes have their eyes glued to the boards and to reddit, and will be ready to make changes based on player feedback.
The reason these are the only things I want to hear about new runes in the next 2-3 months is because reading through the post made a week and a half ago, instead of making me happy that I won't have to get new rune pages and runes, and that my friends who either don't own all the champions, or are even just starting to play the game won't have to worry about this and can have as many runes and rune pages as they want. All i felt was nervous that this was going to cause massive amounts of imbalance as a result of certain runes, and who benefits the most from them, shifts in how the early game will play, and the killing of builds that are only viable because they can be supplemented by the current system of Runes and masteries. As it stands right now it feels like I am looking at a new version of masteries that will exist along side the current system of runes, not a replacement for both.
TL;DR: I hope Riot will take into consideration how big of a change new runes is and will take measures to make sure these are as widely tested as possible and that Riot is more willing to make balance changes (to the runes themselves, but also to champions affected by the loss of current runes) or are just willing to revert the system all together.
