Pretty much, It could be like an S or A rank (+ neutral and -) could reduce LP loss on losses. And a D rank on wins could reduce LP gain on wins. You have a new system in place. Why not use it for something other than decoration. If you got an S rank in a loss then I don't think you deserve to lose a full 15-25 LP. This wouldn't affect placements or anything. Just a little help for players who generally play well. You still lose LP for losses and win LP for wins.

because those grades are affected by kda cs and wards this could lead to people just farming those stats instead of trying to win if they dont think they have a chance to win

No. Grades never reflect how actually good you are with a champion. You can be the best player in the world of your champion, but if you're against a team full of your counterpicks, or your team fed the enemy ridiculously, your k/d will be shit regardless of how good you ACTUALLY are. Mastery grades are for fun and are not meant to be taken seriously, just like every single statistic in League of Legends (including rank, at least with the current ranking system they're using, for a 5v5 game.)
