Lost lane and jungle won't/can't help, now what?

Now that I've climbed to silver I have actually been put against decent enemies. Whenever they win lane they zone me from cs and either freeze the lane so I can't do anything or push to my tower and roam or eventually take it down.

My question is, what do I do if something like this happens but my jungler can't help? Whether they got executed, invaded, busy helping other lanes, or they just refuse to help because they need farm, what do I do in a situation like this?

Most champions I get put against in mid/top can punish you heavily for attempting to cs, sometimes even under tower. Some examples would be Cassiopeia Fizz Azir Brand Annie Akali Ahri Ekko Darius Malzahar Pantheon Orianna Syndra Talon Veigar Velkoz Xerath Viktor

But as you can see, those are A LOT of champions that I have this problem with when going mid/top. The main ones are the champions with strong poke, or champions that will delete you the moment you get in range of their combo. Assassins like Akali or Fizz would definitely need to be fed to deny you from getting cs, because they are known to having a weak laning phase pre-6.

So in a losing lane, what do I do? I could just avoid being poked to death by losing almost all of my cs to my laner, or risk being poked to death by attempting to cs. If I roam to other lanes to attempt to help them they would push my turret, or roam to whichever lane I went to. Of course the average response would probably be: "Just prioritise to avoid dying and late game you can help in teamfights because your enemy laner won't be fed." I would agree with this except for the fact that I will be useless because I have gotten no gold. So it is a lose-lose scenario.

TL;Dr: If I am losing a lane against a champion that can easily deny me cs, and my jungler can't gank for whatever reason what would be the best thing to do? I would appreciate supportive answers instead of just "Don't lose lane and you won't have this problem."

In case this helps, my go-to picks would be Yasuo Fizz Kennen and sometimes Cassiopeia

If your against someone who's AP (Who is basically most of those people) build item 3060 and laugh as they can't combo the Minion down.

and it really isn't all that bad. Health, health regen, AP, MR, CDR... and you can make your next cannon minion immune to magic damage.. xD

Either they'll take 5 minutes to kill the damn thing.. or they'll have to call someone who's AD to take it.

Then build item 3512 Any minions killed by it the gold goes right to you. I use this as a support to earn some extra sneaky cash.. xD

If you can't CS properly.. a Support item may help? Maybe? Worth a shot.

May not help you get back into the game 100% but it will give them a HELL of a time to try to push your lane and if they can't take your tower, then they don't get the gold that comes with it.

It'll also make you a little tanky. You'll survive a bit more than you would.

I know, this isn't the best idea, but it works for me at least.

#If you do come back into the game, sell the items for items that will better suit your needs, and go ham.

Underrated post. People rarely utilize these items to their fullest potential. Both items generate gold for the minions your spawn/promoted minions kill, and they alleviate pressure from your lane, allowing you to roam to snowball other lanes.

Edit: I've been known to grab a item 3098 when I'm behind in lane. The GP10 and poke gold cannot be disregarded.

Just build zzrot first item before anything else. You'll then be able to survive a little longer in the lane, get free pushing power, gold and can then roam to help other areas on the map. I'm not even kidding. zzrot first item rush on any champion is broken. You also get to lane faster because of hte movement speed near towers, it helps you dodge skillshots while csing under tower (if that ever happens) and the resistances will benefit you moving forward throughout the game. try it, dont trade so much early game while you're building defenses though, just work at CSing everything you can to get that item first. Bringing TP also helps.

Make sure to Soak as much exp as possible, even if you can't cs. Most champions can't poke you without minions fucking them up if you are just in experience range.

Try to get any cs you can when possible/safe. If they are freezing, time a cs with them so they can't trade ass heavily or have to give up a cs to do so. So long as you aren't endangering an all in, try to get every cannon minion.

Pick up a item 2033 to sustain, and rush boots to roam faster than your opponent.

Instead of roaming from your lane, considering roaming after backing. Your opponents likely what expect it, so it will go uncalled, and they won't be able to counter-roam you.

If you are playing a tank/bruiser/juggernaut/etc rush the appropriate health and resistance item for your opponent. Just because Black Cleaver is core on Illaoi, doesn't mean you can't rush Spirit Visage against Kennen and kick his ass because he can't kill you.

If your lane opponent roams, call the mia and ping danger, then shove as hard as you can. Punish them for trying to roam by taking a tower and catching up in cs. If their roam fails, you essentially won a trade.

Syndra is the one where I struggle the most, if I can't kill her before she puts down her orbs she just zones me from my own turret with her ult.

lose outer tower, lose inner tower, lose inhib tower, lose inhib, lose nexus towers, lose game because fed mid laners can snowball pretty hard.

You couldn't at least TRY to be helpful, could you?

Fine, farm as safe as possible and if you scale late, play passive without looking to fight, just to stall for time. If you don't scale, roam bot or top looking for gank kills. Ward your side of the jungle as best you can. Build some defense such as item 3001 item 3157 item 3116 item 3027 item 3040 item 3152. These items help a lot, especially against assassins since the health and passives counter a lot of champion's burst combos. If they heal a lot get item 3165. You are the Mid laner, so you are fully allowed to KS. If you simply cant for whatever reason get a kill and live (basically canon fodder), avoid kills altogether because you are worth significantly less when on a death streak if killed (sometimes as low as like 30 gold or so). Split push maybe with a item 3060 if you are against a lot of magic dealers.

Best way to get back in the game is to get kills AND live. However, a trade 1 for 1 is still in your benefit somewhat, especially if you snowball, like with Akali Fizz and Leblanc, from the smallest of leads.

But if the enemy team is smart, they wont let you get any gold (shutting you down and out of the game basically) if possible. If that happens, try to be useful any way possible. Warding, objective stealing, split pushing, etc... Nothing too risky and nothing to put your team at a significant disadvantage (blatantly feeding and such).

That wasn't so hard, now was it? You'd be surprised how stupid enemy teams can be, even at higher levels of play.

lol, my first is still the more likely but the second is helpful like you asked.

While it is true ~50% of the time, the OP was asking for help in preventing what you said. So you provided nothing to the conversation, or at least nothing of value.

The best thing you can do is try to break the freeze and reset the wave. This means killing their minions fast enough to push it to tower and force a reset. The trick is, however, doing this without getting womped by your opponent who is currently ahead of you. Fizz and Kennen are both terrible at this because they have no wave clear, even though Fizz can get the backline minions and Trickster to safety. Yasuo has so much mobility that it really doesn't matter - clear the wave and consider getting a Shiv to help push if you're in that situation.

Also, once you've managed to break the freeze, don't auto push the wave. Save your AAs for last hits, and use cooldowns only if the minion is low and you're not going to damage surrounding minions. The best bet is to try not to lose lane early (durr, i know) but it happens, and when it does, play like you're behind. And be sure to stay in experience range at the very least. If they come in for a trade while you're that close, then just back off. They'll likely start taking minion aggro and they'll sacrifice farm in doing so, so try to make it as costly for them as you can.

If you can make it to mid game without feeding more than 2-3 kills, you've done all you can.

Forgo your normal build, buy defensive/support items so that you become tankier and hide under turret until the laning phase ends.

The most important thing to learn at low-elo is how to not feed. Once you lose lane the best way for you to contribute to your team's victory is to just not make the enemy stronger by letting them get kills on you.

You itemize for waveclear, you push the wave all the way under enemy turret, and then you roam

Let's say you're worth 2, and the enemy is worth 2, you get killed 2 times and lose turret, now you're worth 1,5 and the enemy 3, another lane is even or it's actually winning, that lane is worth at least 2, the enemy is worth 2 as well, 1,5+2= 3,5 vs 2, you catch my drift yes? Every lane is losing? well, 1.5+1,5=3 vs 3, maybe hitting a skillshot or having the surprise factor could make the difference, also watch A LOT of replays, learn what rotations are, and also, learn to not lose your lane.

If you're mid lane you have no excuses, since mid lane is an afk farm lane, you go for trade or kills only if you know you'll win them, if you can't do shit, you just sit and waveclear, also for general tips google "dyrus spectates vlad", first result, i'm too lazy to paste it here for you now. On fizz always start flask, not dorans, in case you do.

I honestly did not expect so many answers so quick. Most of you guys told me to buy items such as zz'rot portal, so I am going to try to do that next time I find myself in this situation. Thank you to everyone who helped.

EDIT: It actually worked, just came back from a losing game with zz'rot portal! Or my team carried me... probably both.
